It's been a long time now since I’ve heard my old friends from North Carolina speak of this kid named Montre. We would usual take an annual trip down south and link up with Dre Powell, Will Gordon and the rest of the Carolina crew. During these trips I would frequently hear of Montre, yet I never skated with him once. Then Black Market came out and he kind of popped out of no where with omega skills but lacked the seasoned style of his older brethren, this is when he caught my eye. I had contacted Kenny Owens and after a little bit got through to Montre and I asked him if he'd be down for Denial Clothing while it was in its rebirth and help us while we help him. After a few months it was like Montre was my little brother and really part of the family.

Now I’ve watched him mature in skating and in life over the last 3 years. He has grown into his own skater with his own style and his own following, this in part comes to the non stop skating and fun he has while interacting with the kids at each spot or park we visit throughout America. Montre has also become a father and he treats his son like the king he will be. I don’t think I've met anyone who’s as dedicated to his craft, and still has time to raise a child and be on top of the game. His attitude is that of a professional and he surely has the skills to match. Montre will soon be at the top of the skate game and he'll have the blades, wheels, tees and frames with his name to show. I only expect the best to come to someone who has worked so hard and done nothing but move ahead with the gift he’s been given.
