The cover design and menu are really well-done. And as I looked through the chapters I noticed that it features a full Cameron Card section which alone would be reason enough to get it. Even after his really bad accident a few years back, Cameron still lays down hammers with great style.
Other featured skaters are Phil Davidson, Chris Olpin, Tad Tregeagle, Eli St. Germaine, Jay Withmore, Mikey Petrack, Dan Dickerson, Ty Acuff, Erik Bill and Erik Bailey.
The last footage I'd seen of Chris Olpin was in Evol and, in my opinion his style has improved a lot since then. I really enjoyed his skating along with great music on his section. There are some people I watch skate and it makes me really worry about them getting hurt. Eli St. Germaine does some really nice tricks but at times they look sketchy and I worry about his ankles. His section is nice but I would have definitely have left out some of the shots.

The most outstanding skater in the montages had to be Jeff Stanger. His Truespin Topsouls lead me to believe that he and Marcus Benavides must the same sort of rubber bones. I also hope to see a lot more of Ty Acuff in the near future. Dan Dickerson put out a really, really nice section with a lot of speed, a great variety of tricks and a solid style.
What I like most about Erik Bill’s section is that he found some really unusual spots to skate and than proceeded to kill them nicely. The DVD ends with Erik Bailey’s section which doesn’t really need an explanation, because you all know that Erik’s skating is off the hook.
To finish this off this review, I would like to mention that the production level is a lot better than in Erik Bill’s earlier work. I WAS A CLOUD is not over-edited and it features a lot less filler footage that Some Mothers Sons did. Don't expect to see something like the Truth with professionals killing themselves if you buy this DVD. But you will see a well-rounded skate flick that portrays Erik Bill’s local scene in a great way.
