United Front is not Jan Welch's newest video project - in fact it's pretty old - I already saw a rough edit in Paris Bercy and I loved it. When I then finally held the tape in my hands I was really really happy.
The section that makes it all, is the stunt seekers section. This is what makes rolling so insane. I kinda thought about snowboarding footage when I saw this, but something was missing. The snow. It's just plainly insane how Brian Shima bio 540's gaps and Dustin Jones just grinds random things which seem to be impossible first time you see it.
The other day I read a comment on how the flashy effects used for some sections kinda were mind altering and Jan responded that this was exactly what he wanted to do this. It's fun to have these effects, but I personally tended to fast-forward some of these sections, cuz it kinda lost it's fun after some time. However this is a really interesting way to motivate people to watch videos and I'm sure that we'll see more of these things in future.
Music was very, very rock oriented, well it was only rock/punk/hardcore. I liked how it flowed to the music and my absolute favorite was Boy Sets Fire - again in the Stunt Seekers section. Damn this song just fit perfect to the skating. Well as all of us also know Chris Haffey is the man to watch out for. Incredible gaps, nice switch-ups, good style - what do you need more?
United Front.
Also watch out for DBV4 - directed by Jan Welch and out soon.

Does anybody know of how I can get a hold of a United Front video?
