Undercover's new line of wheels has been released with a significant amount of hype, with claims of vast improvements and long-lasting wheels due to the new urethane compounds in place. I tested Mr. Benet's wheel, and to be honest, my hopes were not too high having skated the Team wheel from the first line which wore away too quickly for my liking.
I have been rolling on Oli's pro wheel for over three months now, and surprisingly for a heavy bastard like me, there's still hardly any signs of erosion. They have not coned, they have not showed any signs of decoring, and they haven't splintered. Having skated for over ten years, this is the first wheel I have ever had that has survived an English winter! Temperatures drop very low, the floor is always covered in a slimey mixture of water, leaves, and cigarette butts, and basically, wheels normally die in a matter of weeks. Oli knows this, thus he spends his Winters in Spain, despite hailing from Londres. While he's been relaxing, drinking Sangria, and going to Bullfights, his poor wheels have been rolling through mudbaths and disease-ridden English concrete, but they haven't complained once. At 55mm and 89a, they still remain very grippy and their lack of wear has meant that the size is still perfect, rolling at a good speed, while never sticking on ledge grinds.
Not only do these wheels last a long time, they are also cheaper than most other brands of wheels. What more could you ask for?! A free DVD?! Go on then, you greedy shitbags!
