So the word is out and all have been told “the Gathering is Near”. Once again Rampworx Skatepark plays host to one of the UK’s premier rolling events SLAMM JAMM. This will be the 8th year that the jamm has taken place and like every year it promise’s to be a great gathering of the UK’s rolling community.
So the word is out and all have been told “the Gathering is Near”. Once again Rampworx Skatepark (
www.rampworx.com) plays host to one of the UK’s premier rolling events SLAMM JAMM. This will be the 8th year that the jamm has taken place and like every year it promise’s to be a great gathering of the UK’s rolling community. One session out of many around the UK and beyond that is based on community rather than competition. That’s what Slamm Jamm is all about, sessioning, partying, rolling, the tight to the XXL, the new breeds to the established, the hammers to the top souls, conversation and development, all under one roof as “ONE”.

This years Slamm Jamm is different to last years, as I’m always trying to keep things FRSH and developing. So instead of a full two-day event the jamm this year will start with a late session on the evening of Friday 13th OCT and a full day session on Saturday 14th OCT.
Friday 13th OCT 2006The Friday Evening session will start from 6pm till 12 midnight and will have a door tax of £8.00 for the whole session (check the flyer for a saver pass option). This session will be quite a session as it’s going to be the Empire UK ”Battle Royale “, road to WINTERCLASH07. For those that don’t know I developed the EmpireUK Battle Royale jam last year to find a worthy UK Am roller to send to the Hoedown in 05. The roller that won was Nick Lomax(Promax)who has had an amazing 05/06 session. (Check out theconference and UKskate). So the Battle session is an open one on one knock out jam with only the best surviving. This year that one survivor will win a place on the Empire UK Road trip to Winterclash FEB07 Germany. If you don’t know what Winterclash is lets just say it’s “Europe’s finest rolling event” (www.winterclash.com). The Battle is open to those UK Ams that feel there skills are high grade and can step it up. By UK Ams I mean those without major sponsorship or a budget backer in the industry. There will be however limited slots available as time is always a factor, but if you know of a local switch up kid, or up & coming creative hammer then this is a great spotlight event. I’ll be taking names from when the session opens to fill the slots, if your coming to the Jamm and want to make yourself heard or nominate your local hero then hit me up with an email.
There will also be very exclusive rolling edits shown on Friday evening from the UK’s very own BHC, a sneak peek at HYPHY3 and also Fresh edits from Heat and the Valo2 upcoming DVDs.
Saturday 14th OCT 2006On to the Saturday, the park opens 11am till 7pm and will have a door tax of £12.00 (check the flyer); as per usual there will be the abstract off the cuff win goodie sessions all day long from the sponsors (Check the links). Plus the King and Queen of the Slamm session, which is firmly locked in Slamm Jamm history now. There will also be best trick sessions backed up by Ukskate.com, Rampworxshop.com Proline Skates.com and Loco Skates.com so it’s your chance to win product and vouchers from these fine UK rolling outlets. This year there is no big cash “winner take all” Pro/Elite session. In its place is the [rolling for rolling sakes and not the cash stakes] “Slamm Down “ roller award. This is basically the people’s choice/vote to the roller they feel killed and rinsed the whole session at Slamm Jamm VIII. Cash is nice but sometimes I feel it detracts from what the Slamm Jamm is about!!!!! I think someone who is honoured by there community is a more important gesture.
After all that malarkey there is of course the AFTERPARTY******. 18s and over I’m afraid and taking place in a cool city centre venue. You’ll have to be at the jamm to find out more??????
Cheers

Lots of specialists tell that home loans help people to live the way they want, just because they are able to feel free to buy needed goods. Furthermore, a lot of banks present short term loan for different persons.

I will recommend not to hold off until you earn enough amount of money to buy all you need! You should get the business loans or just auto loan and feel fine

You mean you are too tight to provide a cash prize this year! Also £12 per head is a fucking joke, Rampworx has always been a rip off, good park, but a complete piss take.
Give a decent prize for fuck sake you can afford it.
