HEY DUDE VM #1 is the first creation of Marcel Schubert, Claudio Antonelli, Daniel Prell and Bassti Beheim. I have known Claudio, Daniel and Bassti for several years now and have seen several stages of the development of this baby.

HEY DUDE VM #1 is the first creation of Marcel Schubert, Claudio Antonelli, Daniel Prell and Bassti Beheim. I have known Claudio, Daniel and Bassti for several years now and have seen several stages of the development of this baby. It seems as if there are a lot of quality releases coming out of Germany this year, Clip3, Label Me and Hey Dude VM #1.
I have seen all three of them and I like them all. But let’s talk about Hey Dude VM #1. There is this kind of birdish creature which you can see every where. This thing is a real eye catcher and really matches the whole design. As well as the design of the cover, the design of the DVD menu is quite simple but good looking. The intro starts with a mixture of great skating shots, amazing nature shots and a few nice animations. Claudio Bohli from Switzerland is the first one who has got a profile. His profile is not shot in the format which everyone is used to see. Claudio Antonelli (better known as Starscream) used the 16:9 format to shoot Claudio Bohli’s section. The music in this profile matches the skating 100%. Both, the skating and the music, are pretty relaxed but still impressive and powerful. I think that Claudio will for sure be one of Switzerland’s next superstars.
Next you will see a very nice profile of three of Germany’s rollerblading veterans, Sven Schillings, Matthaeus Parobeck and Mathias Peterka. These guys have quite a bit to tell about how rollerblading in Germany was back in the day. Perhaps you might think that they talk a bit too much. But don’t skip this section because the skating you see during the interview is actually really good. But perhaps it would have been better not to mix the interview and the skating clips, so that you can just skip the interview if you look at the DVD for the ninth or tenth time.
In the montage section you can see the who’s who of Germany’s rollerblading scene. Jojo Jacobi, Daniel Prell, Dave Benski, Matthias Ogger and Rene Giesinger. The highlight of this section is, without any doubt, Men Cheung’s Fakie 540 Inspin Soul on a handrail!!! The last section is Guido Rosenkranz’s. Guido is one of the people who have been rollerblading since forever, during the time his love has not become any weaker. Now is the time that he steps back into the limelight. Now he shows all the young dudes out there that he is still on top of the game. His style and his tricks are simply incredible.
I don’t think I have to say any much about filming or editing. If you are interested in more information on this just check www.heydudevm.de and have a look at some of the earlier projects of the persons involved or simply check the trailers and judge by yourself.

i didn`t really like the over all feeling the dvd gave me, but god damn guido rosenkranz has an awesome section. the outro was also surprisingly good and filled with tricks that could`ve been in any other video.
just buy it.
