www.bittercoldshowdown.com This years event, like every year previous, is shaping up to be incredible as well as much larger than the year before. With this in mind, there are a few big changes that will be going into affect for 2007 that everyone attending or competing should know.
Competitor Registration & QualificationsDue to the overwhelming size of the event all competitors must register for the event online. There will be no registration of competitors the day of the Bitter Cold Showdown.
In addition, novice competitors will be required to qualify Friday night during Bitter Cold Showdown Qualifications. Experienced competitors will be entered automatically into the Bitter Cold Showdown. After registering, competitors will be notified by email if they are required to qualify for the Bitter Cold Showdown.
Please register to compete in the Bitter Cold Showdown at

JudgingJudging is always one of the most complicated aspects of the Bitter Cold Showdown. In an attempt to simplify this process a slight change to judging will go into affect this year. Rather than determining the winners of the event from their final round performance, which has been the standard for the past six years, this year the winners will be determined by overall impression and their performance throughout the entirety of the contest.
This means that a rider's tricks from the prelims and semi-finals will be considered when determining the final standings.
Official Industry Tradeshow of RollerbladingBeginning in 2007 the Bitter Cold Showdown will begin to set itself apart from all other events in the industry by labeling the tradeshow as the Official Industry Tradeshow of Rollerblading. With this label the tradeshow will not only continue to strive for excellence but position itself as the yearly destination for all companies involved in rollerblading. This means that there will be very few, if any, core, industry supporting companies missing from the 2007 event.
Thanks so much for your attention,
