Teach Them Well is a DVD brought to you by Connor O’Brien, Clayton Woodley and Brent Henderson. I was really looking forward to finally watching this DVD. By looking at the overall appearance of the DVD I can say that I’m not disappointed, but still there were some things I don’t like. For example Jeremy Soderburg who is skating great but whose appearance and style are strange in my eyes. Also the song used for his section is way too hectic but I bet that there are kids out there who really dig Sole’s Banquet of Sarcasm. The second thing don’t like is Ian’s section. Don’t get me wrong, I don’t say that is section is not dope. His tricks are super sick and the Muse song is great.

What annoyed me was his new style; I think that Ian is one of the few persons who really looked way better with wider clothes.
But let’s talk about the good parts of the DVD now. My favourite section is Cameron Card’s. Cam’s style is amazing. This guy makes rollerblading look so easy and fun. It’s unbelievable how clean his tricks are and how sweet his lines are. Leif Erikson by Interpol is the perfect song to make his section extremely great. Did I already mention that I believe that Cam’s one of the most underrated pros out there? The Montage sections show sick skating and nasty falls. To make the second Montage a bit more interesting Connor and his partners decided to add some Santee spice, and we all know what this means! Some of the skaters are Bailey, Collins, Stockwell, St. John, Broskow, the Santee Crew and many others.
Connor is skating to Wolfmother’s Woman. After I had seen Connor’s section in Trash I thought that he’s the sickest guy on earth. But lately I began to think different. To me it seemed as if his skating is no longer what it was back in the day. Fortunately his section proofed me totally wrong! The youngest skater with an own profile is Victor Arias who is simply too good to be true. I have never seen anybody who has got the same amount of control when he is spinning about two thousand times in a single switch-up. Sometimes watching a Victor Arias section makes me think about the fact that there might be some aliens on our planet. To sum this up I want to say that this DVD is definitely a must-buy. The filming and editing is more than okay, even tough it can’t be compared with Carl Sturgess’ or Doug Urquhart’s. Also the choice of music is great, even if I really didn’t like Jeremy’s song. If this is not enough for you I just tell you that there are also three bonus sections which you will have to explore by yourself.

@lui: car analogy - style is just the surface, the clothes, the body of the car. what it looks like. tricks are the engine, the performance, the abilities it. you can have the lamest looking cars go amazingly fast with awesome handling (sometimes).
basically, any 0-60 in 2.3s honda civic or acura. they look ridiculous but i would still love to have one.

@Michael.: But isn't rollerblading also very much about style - of course it's about fun - but what about style?

for a moment i was not going to give the big 'fuck you' on this review after reading how iain mcleods section wasn't as good because of the clothes he wears, even though it pissed me off. i firmly believe that the clothes make the man. then i realised this is fucking rollerblading, iain mcleod is an all seasons pimp period.

@joeymc: It's hard enough to get rollerbladers to do this... I asked a few people to do a Jon Elliott Razors Pro Skate review for austrianinline.net an none of them did it. I also asked about 10 people that don't rollerblade to write something about Barely Dead and non of them did it! Somehow people are not too much into work that doesn't earn you any money.

Like I have said before: It would be amazing to get people that aren't involved in rollerblading to do reviews.
