Orange is IT Cinema’s second DVD. After seeing Yellow which features loads of stunts, drunk people and Misfits songs I was very excited to see their next release. If you have already seen Yellow and you liked it you can stop reading right here and buy Orange immediately. But if you have not seen Yellow, I will tell you what to expect. When you have a look at the chapters of this DVD you will find two intros. The song for the first intro is from the Queens of the Stone Age and it is perfect as a background for hammers, gnarly falls and drunken guys doing stupid things. What I like about this intro is that it is fast and that you are not bored by to much written information about the producers and other things. The second intro introduces the different skaters who are starring on the DVD. This second intro is also very fast and really entertaining. Concerning the music I think that it’s almost not possible to not like the way in which skating and The White Stripes match.

After this you will see a section about Dan the Man. And it is really only about him and not about rollerblading. All he does is rolling around on the floor, being totally drunk and making a huge mess. To top this, the action is very likely to have been filmed by someone that was at least equally drunk because the camera shakes like hell. But what else can you expect of someone filming his pissed friends at night? In my opinion it would have added much to this DVD if they would not have left this section away. Loran Bohall is the master of torque tricks and chess slides. No one does them like him. It’s great to see Loran skate because his skating is sick and he definitely pays more attention on his skating than on his clothes. Also the filming is really nice. Quite a few tricks in his section are shown form different angles which give the viewer a more complete picture of the action.

There are two Sean Callahan sections. The first one is a skate park section shot at camp Woodward. I didn’t expect this on a DVD which shows some of the roughest street skaters out there. But nevertheless it’s a nice change to what is shown on most DVD’s out there. In his second section Sean shows that he can also skate street. He skates everything, from big rails to spots most people would not consider big or dangerous enough to be on a DVD. But it is not about the spots it’s about what people do with them. That reminds me of someone who once said that there are no bad spots, there are just skaters who are not good enough! After this there come two montages and a few clips of a guy doing Backflips out of a very small bank. The music chosen for the first montage is some kind of beat without vocals and the second montage is edited to a track by POS feat. Laser Beam. Most of the names in these two montages are unknown, but the skating is still off the hook.

Up next is Joey Chase. In the intro to his section Joey pours beer on some chick who tries to hit him. As if this was not enough his friends make him smoke a cigarette while he sleeps. If you want to know how this works you will have to buy the DVD. Joey is totally insane and his tricks are so damn nuts that you can easily compare him to Pianowski. His sick skating mixed with Blur’s Song 2 are great means of show how much of a punk he is. He doesn’t mind eating some shit to get a few clips! As on the rest of the DVD the filming is quite clean and you can enjoy every single trick. Montage 4 includes huge amounts of hammers, slams and a fast song which doesn’t give you the time to think about what you have just seen. So you will have to look at this section a few times until you get everything.

Mark Wojda is a machine. I loved him ever since I saw his section in Yellow. There he did all these sick tricks while it was raining and snowing quite heavily. Unfortunately there is no snow or rain in his section in Orange. But he demonstrates that he doesn’t need bad weather conditions to lay down hammers. Mark can do 360 tricks on any rail and I still wonder why he hasn’t got more exposure. After you have seen all this there are still tons of bonus sections to enjoy. So what are you waiting for? Go and get Orange!
