Ok so whenever your feeling like a baller and have a fairly high budget to spend on some dinner I suggest you make this. (Only reason I made it is because it was mothers day so that was my present to my momma).

Ok so whenever your feeling like a baller and have a fairly high budget to spend on some dinner I suggest you make this. (Only reason I made it is because it was mothers day so that was my present to my momma)
Here are the ingredients you will need:
- 1 egg
- 1/2-cup all-purpose flour
- 2/3-cup beer
- 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/4-cup all-purpose flour
- 2 cups flaked coconut
- Some shrimp
- Some oil
- A package of shrimp and crab boil
- As many king crab legs as you can afford/are willing to eat
Ok to start it off I mixed the half-cup of flour, egg, beer, and baking powder in one bowl. Leave the other fourth cup of flour in a separate bowl and the coconut flakes in a separate bowl as well..
So once the first stuff is all mixed up you grab the shrimp and dip it into the flour first. Shake off the excess flour; dip it into the egg batter, than roll it in the coconut flakes. Meanwhile you can start boiling a large pot for the crab legs and a medium size pot for the oil.
Put all the rolled shrimp onto a large baking pan lined with wax paper and let it sit in the fridge for like 30 minutes.
While it's chilling in the fridge you can start making a salad with your own favorite ingredients.. I used romaine lettuce, mushroom, tomatoes, croutons, cheese, and cucumbers.. Than just mixed it all up.
Pull the shrimp out of the fridge and make sure the oil is nice and hot.. Should start sizzling as soon as you put the shrimp into the pot. Meanwhile make sure the large pot for the crab is boiling than put the legs in and let them boil for about 5 minutes or so. Turn on low and let them steam and absorb the flavor of the shrimp and crab boil. With some tongs put the shrimp in the oil and let them sit for a minute or two or until golden brown. Make sure the oil isn't too hot too or else the batter and coconut will burn before the shrimp can cook. I learned that lesson the hard way so I had to turn down the oil until I reached a desired temperature. Once all the shrimp is done frying lay it out on a tray along with the crab leg and get ready to grub.. After it's all over give it about an hour than go skate so you can burn some calories!
