Hey Dude Videomagazine’s second issue is finally available! With this issue the whole Hey Dude crew did a great job. The intro is very well made and could also be the intro to a big budget movie. The Hey Dude guys really try to make their work look professional as well as very arty. Hey Dude Videomagazine’s second issue is finally available! With this issue the whole Hey Dude crew did a great job. The intro is very well made and could also be the intro to a big budget movie. The Hey Dude guys really try to make their work look professional as well as very arty. It is great to see that Clip is not the only European video magazine that comes up with high quality products. Fast and rough, this is what the editing style of the intro is like. You get to see harsh slams and unbelievable tricks edited to a really powerful song.

The first montage section shows a nice selection of Germany’s top rollerbladers. No slow tricks were accepted, you get to see the high quality stuff only. For the second montage section the Hey Dude crew chose Mathias von Gostomski, Alex Rudolf and Matthias Ogger. I have not heard much of Mathias before but he definitely busts his ass to be on top of his game. Alex Rudolf from Munich should be known by most Europeans. He already has got the same body as Cosimo Tassone and he is working hard to reach Cosis skating level. The last guy is Matthias Ogger who is completely insane. After his slam which was featured in Daily Bread – where he broke something in his spine – I never thought he would skate at pro level again. But I was wrong… He does a fat, square kink-rail that goes down a triple set as well as one of the biggest gaps I have ever seen.

I really much enjoyed the back in the day section with Benny Harmanus. He gives a nice insight on a part of Germany’s rollerblading-history. It is so f**king amazing to see how much rollerblading progressed during the last ten years. In his section Benny shows that he is not afraid of anything. To prove this you just need to check out the clip of his totally insane Topsoul to drop which was featured in Be-mag #24! Max Visser is the second guy that has a profile. I love how he does fakie 720’s down stair gaps. Most of the tricks in his section are off the hook, but his sickest trick is a Zero Spin Shifty down a massive double set.

After I have seen the whole DVD I can say that it is definitely worth its money. If you enjoy good skating and want some variety in your 100% American DVD collection buy this baby! What I enjoyed most about this DVD is the way it is edited and that it shows tons of tricks from various angles. After I’ve watched the whole DVD I still didn’t get enough and I am still hungry for more. I am really anxious to see Hey Dude Videomagazine III. What some might find irritating is that there are ads in-between the different sections. But this is something you should not mind too much as you can easily skip the ads.
