'But it's a long way to Brisbane and we're dangerous men'

Hayden Watt - Shifty to Gap

I was sitting in some quick bar I spotted on my way to the train terminal. I had an hour to kill before my plane blew the coop back to Melbourne when she walked in. She was medium height with raven hair. Her body filled out every inch of her blouse like a Christmas present and her skirt was so tight you could read the label instructions on her underwear. It read 'Dry-clean only – made in The E.U.' Suddenly Brisbane wasn't looking so bad anymore.

Mark Stamer - AO Topsoul

She ordered a glass of house red. It didn't look like the kind of place that had red. A glass arrived on her table and it was red. She looked tired and upset with her big brown eyes all sullen like. Drips of perspiration fell upon her brow and made it's way down, down, down her neck. I picked up my beer and sat beside her as the sun outside continued to blaze it's terrific sweltering glory upon the many sea of people in Brisbane.

Hayden Watt - Fishy

“Listen I leave for Melbourne in an hour come with me” She stopped digging through her purse and looked up at me and laughed “That's a first” she trailed through her laughter. “Look lady, I think you're swell and Brisbane is no place for a woman like you” She looked at me like I had vegetables for ears “Thank you but this is where I live”

I paused for a moment, looked at her face and all that flesh and thought... if I touched her would I be arrested or just bound to end up on the floor with a bruised eye? “You'd be fine in Melbourne, less cars, better booze...-Her phone rang and she hurried to answered it. She spoke in a flurry, ignoring me slightly through the corner of her eye. That was it. I finished my beer and walked out. 2 hours later I was back in miserable Melbourne. It was raining and I was glad to be back. All that Vitamin D was getting to me.

To anyone who is wondering, the comp is an annual event held by VC CLOTHING www.myspace.com/vcclothing, big ups to our major sponsors Marlon from Remz, Toby aka Maddog and Skatebiz. We are in the process of producing a DVD of the last 5 years of the comp and getting ready for number 6. If you want to read about the comp, check out our myspace. Any other questions, email vcclothing@gmail.com

Hopefully I'll get my edit up some time this week, as it's been completed for a good week and a half now, but because australia broadband is shit, and has limits, have been unable to upload due to no bandwidth.

Yeh, they're right now but previously they were wrong...Also well dones to marlon and Toby 'maddog' for helping put up the cash...Really though even if it is arty to an extent, someone trying to pick up and failing miserably is totally irrelevant to the core of what else happened at this epic comp....Which I am sure the general public would be much more interested in..............

Yeah it was a sick comp,
Rollawat- Im from Adelaide, we have a cool scene down here. Definitly worth checking out, best skatepark in OZ too.
If you do hit me up- d_yeoman@hotmail.com

Also all the trick names were right except Mark's which was Topsoul to BS Backslide to AO soul 360 out.

November 28th, 2007 @ 10:11 - by joenavran joenavran

it's sick here man, come to Sydney or Melbourne, both have really good skate scenes and amazing street.
Also good on ya for fixing most of the tricks though Mark Stamers was Top Soul to True Soul 360 out. Way sicker than just AO Top soul.

haha bullshit, so many of those tricks did not happen. I don't see why you'd lie about the tricks that went down. It was a sick contest regardless.
