I was lucky to take a little trip to Tokyo and to meet up with our distributor in Japan and also Mr. Shimpei, who supported us with the Be-Mag tour in Japan. Japan has seen not many big tours in the last years and the Be-Mag tour which featured Alex Broskow, Jeff Stockwell, Jeromy Morris, Jeremy Stephenson and Mike Choley was one of the big highlights in the last year. So I thought it would be a good chance to see how skating is in Japan in real life and to meet up with people there.
What better thing could you do at 5am in the morning then to hit the fishmarket and look amazed at the tuna fish waiting to turn into sushi?Luckily there was a skate contest happening exactly at the weekend I went there, so I was able to see the great Chiaki Ito ripping it up with his solid style again and showing everyone why he is simply the king of style. Of course people were also able to buy some Be-Mag goods while they were there and it was great to see Be-Mag also in the top shopping areas of Tokyo. That's what I call a global distribution for the global skating scene. I wanted to shoutout again to the people in Japan who keep the scene alive with their dedication and to everyone who supports Be-Mag there and helps Be-Mag to also succeed in Japan.
