This year, the X-World skateshop is presenting the Strive Apart Tour through four different cities on four different weekends. Last weekend the tour began with the first stop in Dresden, which was one out of four stops during this winter. People from all over east, south Germany came to join the skate sessions, the skate games and the contest.
Henri Koch - True MizouThe indoor skatepark in Dresden is probably one of the best east German indoor parks and that is not just because of the sick ramp-architecture. No, it is also hosting great guys like Sven Hausmann, Michi Leibner, Benny Lantzsch, Patrick Dressler and a couple other awesome skate talents.
One of the action highlights at each strive apart tour stop are the skate games. We first played a game called “fire, water, sand”, where everybody had to roll around and when I called a ramp, everybody had to get on the ramp. The last 2 guys, who didn’t get on the ramp in time, get kicked out. The 2nd game we played is called “go, run”, there are 3 people they have to chase the whole crowd through the park and catch them. When somebody got caught they had to stay with spread legs at the point were they got hit. To become free, some other player in the game has to slide through the legs of the caught skater.Everybody who was watching the game laughed so hard because of how everybody was chasing around and slammed so often. It was just awesome and we had a lot of fun by playing the games. For the next tour stops there are planed some other games, so make sure to come to one of them.
Benny Lansch - Topsoul StallOther highlights of the day, Sven Hausmann with a really save 900 over the Funbox, full cap true top soul on the huge ledge from Patrick Dressler and a fucking insane 360 flatspin over the spine from Michi Leibner. But Denis Wolf teared the shit up and landed a makio to transfer top soul from the funbox ledge to the handrail. After he slammed twice on his balls when he tried it. Best Trick Contest winner: Denis Wolf / Chemnitz
All in all, the first strive apart tour stop was a success, because nobody got hurt and we all had a great time together by playing the games, skating an amazing session and watching the Freestyle Rolling kicks ass Show. I hope to see you on one of the next tour stops.
Thanks to X-world skateshop, Ucon, Infernal clothing, Okmonek clothing, the Conference and Be-mag for supporting the Strive Apart Tour.
