hen you look at interviews, 99 % are all the same. Photos, interview, intro and some clever captions, that’s it. Though this maybe is interesting the first 253 interviews you read, it gets a little boring after some time...
When you look at interviews, 99 % are all the same. Photos, interview, intro and some clever captions, that’s it. Though this maybe is interesting the first 253 interviews you read, it gets a little boring after some time. Thus we always try to think of something new or funny that we could do. Last year, I think it was shortly before the Eurotrash Tour, I had this incredible idea that we could do a Kelso Twins Vs. Raser Twins interview. Now this is nothing special but being the diehard tight ass stretch leggings and wrestling fan (which by the way goes along very well ) that I am, I thought it might be a clever idea to dress them all up as wrestlers and have one of them skate a spot in that outfit and the other twins beat up the twin that is not skating tag team style. Just imagine Scott Raser lace some huge stunt while the Kelsos put the smack down on Kevin, all of them dressed up in neon capes and masks. Hilarious!
Soon after that, the Eurotrash tour kicked off and since Jero knows all of them pretty well , I approached him with my idea. After explaining it to him, he just shook his head in disbelief and told me that there was no way in the world the Rasers would ever agree to that. You probably know how it feels when an idea that you’re really fond of is turned down like this...
This spring we finally decided to interview the Kelsos. I was disappointed that nobody really was into my concept and that we didn’t end up doing it the way I had it envisioned . A few months later I eventually met Sean at the ISPO in the wake of Ignition’s Conquering Europe tour. I was lagging when Sean approached me and asked me for some pro model. Obviously he thought that I was a Powerslide employee. I politely told him that I couldn’t help him but before he could run off again, I took the chance and told him about my story idea. After explaining it to him in detail, I hoped he would share my excitement. To my disappointment, all he told me, with a rather annoyed look, was that he and Colin were not twins. I wanted to tell him that it didn’t really matter but eventually decided it was better not to say anything anymore and gave up the idea which had brought me nothing but a lot of weird looks.
