So when did this whole thing begin? Well originally when Kenneth and myself started working on this whole Deshi revival project, we knew in which direction we wanted to head, to create a strong, unified team.
I met Chris Cheshire for the first time at the Winterclash, while looking to fuel the Deshi revival with some fresh blood. Chesh happened to be one of my favourite skaters from the time back when I was fighting the Vietnam con, where we only had VHS and saw videos such as VG 19 and I thought that this dude would be the kind of soldier who would be a good trooper to fight alongside, should we have to do any skate tricks on a tree.
I spoke to the lad, and he was a fan of Deshi from back in the day and was really juiced on the new boot and new Deshi revival, so he hopped onboard the big Deshi ship, and luckily there was good weather and the food wasn’t too bad on the vessel either so we sailed off into the future like Pirates of the Caribbean except we were skaters and not pirates and we weren’t going to the Caribbean and it was just a metaphorical ship not a real one, you don’t get many ships anymore and we weren’t even going to the same place...
