Firstly welcome to the Be-mag live pages for SlammJamm X, I hope over the next few days and the weekend of the event we can give you an insight to one of the UKs best rolling events...

SlammJamm was born in the year of 1999 this year will see the event celebrate 10years of existence. SlammJamm is one of, if not the longest established UK rolling event to-date. Over the years many have graced “the Gathering” and it has become the event that’s seen its fair share of UK talent grow from the past into the present. The events base and core has always been to help promote, encourage and develop Rolling within the UK, and beyond the UK shores to the wider rolling communities. Year on Year “the Gathering” witness’s some of the best rollerblading from the Ams, Pro’s and Unknown rollers within the UK plus, visitors we see from other shores as far as Australia and the USA.

2008 sees a turning point for the SlammJamm, the past few years have dealt the ups and downs for most within the rolling community. Not just in the UK but also worldwide, the strong and loyal have survived and SlammJamm is one of them. 2008 started with a positive for UK rolling events as the Chaz Sands Invitational Contest proved and it has continued with the Kingdom NASS vibe. The SlammJamm will follow on with these positives and push rollerblading into 2009!!!!

The SlammJamm will always continue to develop and encourage growth within the UK rolling scene so this year we are adding more to the event. The “Kings Own” AM Final, “theONE Pro Invitational Battle Royale” & “theRolling Art & Tradeshow” will be born this year as part of the event. Add these elements to “theGathering” along with the already present King & Queen of the Slamm, Best Trick, Peoples Choice Award and all the usual DVD premieres and giveaways you have one hell of a gathering.
