A first glimpse at the new RB Solo Estilo Skates by team rider Julian Bah

RB team rider Julian Bah gives us a quick glimpse at their new skate, check out the shots and what he had to say:

Yoo, its ya boi J-Bah here to clear thing up a bit. I’ve been skatin these proto-type Solo Estilo and there off the damn chain! Everything on this skate is new from the liner to the wheels. New liners and foot beds are super comfortable. 45° ratchet buckle keeps your heel locked down. We tried out the no-groove soul plates as you can see on the old pics floating around online. From testing we found out the groove was way better so we made the adjustments. The boot itself is mad light and looks sick with the new vents and transparent plastic. The Switch frames allow you to put on the big boi 72mm wheels, super fast! M1 is about to release the new J-Bah 72mm
wheels so ya’ll can skate like Bah.

I’m an open-minded chap and always up for innovations and all that. But fucking hell, they are UUUUUUUUGLY!

Looks like recycled swindler buckles for powerstraps. The cuff looks way high on the inside, and did I mention they’re UUUUUUUUGLY?

On the plus side, I’m liking the return of 72mm anti-rocker. Everythng’s gone full circle with that shit right there. Only now thy’re set deeper in the frame so they don’t make you eat shit on topsides. Sweet! Miss my Hyper Fatboys.

I’m not saying they’re ugly, but they do look like Swindlers with a Salomon wide body.

Looks aren’t everything though. If they’re good skates, they’re good skates.

Don’t listen to these haters Richie. I think those skates look sick as fuck and I would rock them anyday. I love TRS skates and they look like such an improvement. More sleek, stylish, light, and beautiful. They honestly look like they would help with all aspects of tricks with those super flat soul plates. Since they’re so light they probably would help with spins into tricks and out of them.

Im feeling an old school vibe with these skates and they look pure orgasmic. The soul plate looks fucking awesome and these skates look like they will be the best skates of the year. How many other companies are coming out with shit as innovative as this? Don’t listen to these haters. Once these skates hit the market I will be sure to cop a pair.

Okay, I fully agree with the age old saying, “It it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.” ...But SERIOUSLY! This skate looks like crap…sorry Richie…but I’d rather you have my honest opinion than to blow smoke up your ass…take it back to the drawing board guys. You can do better than this.

Whatever guys. Everyone talked shit about how the new trs’s looked, then everyone rocked them cz of browskow, then eveyrone talked shit about how the Xsjados looked, but then eveyrone rocked them anyways. Even valo had it’s fair share of haters when it first came out.

I bet no one will talk shit when they see these skates in action. They look sleak, and simple. Non-flashy is cool to me.

I wonder how much J.Bah is getting paid to lie for RB…hmm. and I also wonder how much these things weigh, probably way heavier than the old alphas. I highly doubt Wally-World would even sell these skates cause theyre so damn ugly!!!

Comment by bbandahalf on August 08 at 05:54

seriously, I’m not feeling these at all!
