i hope they purchased the salomon mold off the defunct company. That would be awsome

Damn. That was fast. Lots of new skates are coming out this holiday season. Let’s see how their product turns out.

people keep hearing, that there is no cash in the industry, that really everyone believes it…hahaha…

I would say there is money in the industry if you do your job right…if there wouldn’t be, Rat-Tail, Razors, Valo and so on wouldn’t exist…there have been more money, but there still is money…

however, it isn’t our business if there is money or not, it is the business of the company. I am pretty sure, that Rat Tail aka. Jon and Brian have been in the business long enough to see what money is in the industry…so don’t bother this stuff, just be happy that there is more real skate companys and less Rollerbalde and K2…

at least thats my 50 ct…I am stoked on new projects like that…

Comment by mbrols on August 31 at 12:41

Wow, it looks like they love this industry because…we have no cash.

Comment by immattunderwood on August 31 at 11:46

the skate is gonna be a Gen. shell. like with razors, its gonna be the exact same. but Rat Tail is gonna distribute it.

Comment by Maik on August 31 at 07:55

so basically this will be sooooo goood….really…2 of the biggest stylers ever making a new skate…it will be damn stylish i promise… i think they are long enough into rollerblading to know about everything…they’ll make their way….they got my money already

Comment by NHRB on August 31 at 06:54

how many boot companys are there if you think about it

razors, remz, usd, xsjado, valo, deshi and rollerblade are releasing a new skate

so thats 7 boot companys, our industry is growing so much at the moment and with such new blood coming into it we need people who where there before the brown brothers and dipshit decided to rename our sport, before mindgame came and went, before medium and daily bread, these guys have seen the hugest companys in rollerblading rise and fall, they have lernt from the mistakes and now its there turn to push our sport.

GC is the best company in rollerblading, i doubt that anyone who has skated for more than 5 years has never skated on a pair of GC frames. well soon it will be the same with there boot company

they do there shit correctly and they market it correctly

i cant wait to see what the produce

Brant are you fucking kidding me? What kind of twat comment is that? For the money? Are you questioning 15 years of scars and scabs. Die already.

ok guys, you got my money.

Comment by Beerberserker on August 31 at 02:30

I’m excited and waiting for the first pictures of the skates.
If they’re cool, i’m gonna get myself a pair. Even though i said, that my actual pair of skates would have been my last one.

Comment by skating101 on August 31 at 01:32

no offense to these guys, its a completely honorable venture but I hope they are doing it for the love of the industry because the company sure isn’t going to make any money (if it can even get past its setup costs) there isn’t enough money is skating to afford yet another boot company.

Comment by Brant on August 31 at 00:50

shima actaully called me a couple months ago and asked if i would ride for them and be there fist pro. i said no even when they offered the first pickup pro boot.. i said “hey guys, i’m just not into this for the money”. sorry.

damn scummagazine, sounds like you are drawing some hard lines in the sand of a industry struggling for cash as it is

Comment by Garett on August 30 at 19:05

growing up Elliot was one of my idol skaters, I’m excited to see what they do here

Comment by roll_igion on August 30 at 18:52

Everyone knew this. Im actually pretty excited about this new boot company because it is somethin the industry needs. I just hope their models are not razors/usds like. Considering their razors history. Good job Elliot and Shima

Comment by scummagazine on August 30 at 18:02

This is a 100% skater owned company. So their is absolutely no joint venture deal going on here. It wouldn’t be a skater owned company if this was the case (ie: Valo). There is no middlemen, no investors. This is the 1st boot company funded and owned 100% by skaters (Elliott & Shima). Choose your side!

Comment by dead boy on August 30 at 17:31

i wonder if its gonna be a joint venture deal like valo and roces, considering jon and shima’s history with razors

Comment by timfloyd on August 30 at 16:50

somehow i allready knew that, cant remember where i heard it though…
