When I was asked to make this edit, I at first refused. Because of the circumstances, I no longer felt or wanted the clips to be mine, or my responsibility. However, when I watched and thought about what we had accomplished in such little time last summer, I realized these things needed to be seen. It wouldn’t be fair to my friends or myself for them not to be shared after having worked so hard. It’s important for hard work to be recognized and rewarded.
Although the quality is greatly diminished for Internet viewing, I hope you all still take note of the overall execution of these video clips. Many of these tricks were shot multiple times so that each clip reached it’s potential. Every trick is laced, every zoom and pan is just right, and there is a story of patience, trust, pride, frustration, pain, and friendship behind every clip.
Thanks to Jeph and Michalec for contributing their videography skills, and thanks to three of Iowa’s best rollerbladers for the good times and for collaborating with me through all of the frustration as well as the fun adventures.
