Just got word from Paul Hardwick that the NASS in the UK will NOt be holding an inline contest this year, here is his statement:
NASS will not be holding an inline competition on the Urban Attack street course this year. A small group of rollerbladers were ready to organise a competition with just 10 days to go, however the street course has been re-allocated for other use. After several days of negotiating some kind of competition, the best NASS could do was suggest a mini ramp contest. The reason for no street competiton is unknown and the organisers do not care to do anything about it.
What a load of bullshit considering the only real contests they had when NASS first started were Inline, BMX and skateboard. The organisers have more important options to cater for, such as extreme frisbee and mountain biking.
Bollocks to NASS!
If you planned on going, boycott this this year and if you already bought your ticket complain, because their website still says that inline is a part of the programme. You can reach them here:
