772 words on UNDER WRAPS…Definitely a DVD worth checking out…Once you startd the DVD you are faced with a few minutes of ads or so that is quickly redeemd by an amazing introduction covering American and European skating…Some of the biggest and baddest hammers I’ve seen in a while get thrown down by big names, and unknowns, to a rather symphonic song and the intro both begins and ends with some impressive, not to mention professionally done, graphics. The DVD then moves onto Ricardo Lino and Enanoh’s split profile. This section didn’t exactly get me going at first but as time moved on I noticed Enanoh murdering spots with creativity, this guys reminds me of Micah Yeager for his style and appearance, but he definitely should be remembered for his own ingenuity because he has plenty of it. Ricardo’s clips get slightly repetitive but a lot of the tricks he does are so impossible anyway nobody should even rant in a negative way…who else would negative acid the dumbest square drop rail? We then move on to a montage…Adam Zurawiecki really impressed the shit out of me with a kindgrind on a pretty long single kink to rewind full cab truspin Mizou on the second down revert 360 out. There is a bunch of solid footage in this section but some if it looks like it could’ve been left out, either way the quality is pretty damn good in this section, considering most European clips need PAL-NTSC concersion. The only valid complaint I have about this section is the repetitiveness of the rail skating…a little too much rails. Then we are visited by a bunch of computer generate paper to watch the trick by trick elimination of Gonzo’s Cerrito hit list. Pretty impressive to see his consistency as always, but it’s only his intro…he starts his section off with a topsoul on a kink ledge I could imagine only a handful of skaters doing. This Gonzo section stands out for it’s spot variation as well as a few new tricks our favorite LA skater has been cooking up in his Hispanic brain. Not only can he alleyoop top porn to hurrican forward top porn, he now does alleyoop porns to hurricane switch forward top porns. This is definitely one of Gonzo’s best sections if not his BEST. Stefan Horngacher sets off the following montage with a 40 mph bs farf up a metal object I don’t care to distinguish…haha it’s just nuts lets leave it at that. Evgeniy Leonov comes through again to drop more quality hammers, though his footage sticks out like a sore thumb because of its quality, he can be excused because it is insane…He’s easily one of the best hammer skaters that ever lived…PERIOD. Some US pros team up clip for clip with the Euro dudes for an overall amazing section that is definitely one of the most amped in the DVD, showing such eclecticism. If that’s not enough you have Haffey at the end of this section to bs farf 900 out a lil drop rail for ya. We then move onto the Euro Tour, all I’m going to say is Albert Hooi’s infamous gap to 3 wall ride 3 out is in here… wow that is all that needs to be said. The tour engs to only make way for another…the American tour is covered and shows some great skating, but personally I can’t decide which one is better so I’ll let you decide for yourself. One of the two most important parts of the video then begin…Sean Kelso shows people what life is all about. With tricks most skaters probably can’t even understand he finesses with his rocket launcher style in his fatigues and NY clothing. Sean really shows his abilities here with amazing lines, the cleanest style I’ve ever seen from him and ridiculous ideas I don’t want to ever see in person with a diaper on. Sean seriously does some of the most impossible shit here I don’t want to ruin the suprises. The credits begin and then things mellow out to comedy and pain, kind of like old Greek Tragedies. I recommend buying this video because it is definitely one of the hottest flicks in a while…My only big complaints are the variations in camera quality & trick placement/choice…RICHIE EISLER HAS AN IMPOSSIBLY GOOD SECTION LEFT IN THE BONUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you don’t buy this video you are missing out on two of the worlds greatest accomplishments this year…SEAN AND RICHIE’S SECTIONS. PEACE AND I’m SORRY I HAD TO KEEP THINGS BRIEF.
OVERALL I GIVE THE UNDER WRAPS DVD an A-
