tell me about it, but since Daniel Kinney is pretty involved with this year's comp, I wanted to make sure it was on a day that he would be available to attend. With him helping to resurrect the Steel Valley Meltdown (to be under a new name) in late September and all of his other competition projects this summer, he is a busy man.
and is truly devoted to rollerblading.
dk is the fucking man 8)
don't forget that real brass knuckles are given out at this competition.

maybe ask for it off in advance? i don't know what you do for a living, but unless your company gets large weekend volume, at least 2 weeks notice of wanting a day off is the best way to avoid the hassle of them fucking you over.

i get the entire month scheduled at once. im allowed one weekend off a month, but they cant guarantee that i will get the one that i request off. i should have no problems but someone might quit or be fired, so its really hard to say.

well, the Ladies Division was created last year with the Detroit girls in mind. Only Brandi Goulet showed up from Ohio, so she got lumped in with the 25 and up division and there was not enough girls to justify a separate division.
I would just like to state that this competition really is the most girl friendly comp currently in existence for rollerblading. Not counting the SuperChick division because SuperHick is no longer around. The Ladies Division is not the only division they can skate.
This competition has an open division structure, and if you qualify to skate more than one division, you can do so for free.
Ladies benefit the most from this, as they can skate the following combinations:
Open, Ladies, 25 and Up
Expert, Ladies, 25 and Up
Pay for one, get the others for free. No one else offers this. I would really like to see Chynna Weirstall come to the comp and dominate.
If you skate Expert, you cannot skate Open. If you skate Open, you cannot skate expert. First place in all divisions (except Expert) get to automatically advance to the Expert Division.
Cash, brass knuckles, products from awesome companies, some free subscriptions to Be-Mag and One magazine and advancement to the AIL finals in California are up for grabs.
