Do you think this is a good idea? write your opinions, if enough people request it mark korte (USD head) might consider it.

if you want them really bad, you could probably get some other diamond plates, like kizer plates or stockwell plates to fit your thrones

The non ufs 50-50 baseplates for thrones was uhmw. They lasted a long time.

I think the biggest weakness in the classic throne design is the front baseplate. it's small, wears quickly, and doesn't protect the shell from shuffles. there's also the fact that people often slip off the tumor on torque/backslide tricks onto the boot material, which is sticky and slow. i think the front baseplate and boot molds should be modified to accomodate a wider baseplate that goes all the way back to the tumor and wraps up around the boot, or at least extends all the way to the edge of the soul- once that front baseplate wears down, you're sliding on the sticky boot material.
similiarly, the UFS Throne two-piece heels are fine, but the front plate needs to wrap up around the boot for shuffle protection, and be made a bit wider to match the rear plate's width (again, for shuffles).

also, the frame centering on the UFS tumors is a tiny bit out of whack- i understand they needed to move the frame back a bit to correct the tumor's "crooked" backslide groove, but i think with an improved front plate, they could be moved back forward a bit. 2mm or so more forwards would look and skate more "normally" i think.
the frame centering on the 9.5-10.5 shell is actually the opposite, way far forward on the boot, the tumors' frame alignment need to be made individual to each shell size. USD could do this by making a plug in the mold so they can move the UFS "donut" forward for 11-13 and backwards for 9.5-10.5. this way they don't need to make a whole new mold but the centering would be right on each boot.
also, the classic throne is notoriously weak in the negative area. i'd think an improved front plate would have an extended negative, and perhaps the rear negative "wing" could be removed and a "negative tumor" added to the tumor mold?
Sounds like a job for Night?
