negatives? what foot to use?

I don't usually do negatives but lately I have been feeling like I need to learn at least negative makio because I like the way they look. I'm just not sure what side is my natural negative because both feel really awkward. I used to do negative mistrails my left foot royale my right negative soul. So over all do most people have there negative using the same foot they soul with/ or the opposite foot they soul with/ or whatever is most comfortable for that trick.

i merk negatives very well- i suggest using ur soul foot. most people i see out there use there switch soul foot and use their royal as their crutch. but those people can usually only do neg mistrials and neg acids

i learned them by doing ao negative mizous like a kind grind, which led me to lifting up my foot and being able to do negative ao makios.

then i started learnin negative makios and wat not, def learn them with ur natural foot so u can do more than two grinds and do switch ups i love the way i learned it other ppl i know regret going the mistrial way

negatives are far from wack - its a whole part of skating to explore they make negative souls for a reason and for some reason most of neglect them, i personally dont like eating shit ne more so i look for non hardcore ways to try new challenging tricks negatives fill that for sure besides negative makio to fishbrain on ledges feels amazing\

I can only do negative acids and only on small, sharp ledges, but I learned them with my natural foot. So it's like a retarded topacid for me. I'm totally right-footed though, for someone who's half-and-half it'd probably be more confusing.

when i did negatives before my soulplates went to shit i did negative kind grind with my right foot and true negative kind grind with my left it all depends on which way i have to spin

i do every negative with my regular soul foot.
the only exception being any kind of neg mistrial variation.
thats the easiest way.

and just to set the record straight for you, any variation of a negative mizou does not count.

i do any and all negatives with my left, even (and especially) neg makio. i makio with my right, torque with my right, backslide with my right, back fast slide with my right, front fastslide with my left, fishbrain rails with my right, fishbrain ledges with my left, and front savannah with my right backslide and left torque.

the weirdest thing is the only right footed negative i do is negative topacid. but i negative acid lefty.



and negative miszou variations are dope if you make em look dope.

i would say to negative with whichever foot is opposite of the one you h block with.

and i do have a reason for saying this... say you royale lefty. that means your right foot is always in front of you, bent to the inside. you are just more used to bending this right foot in the "negative" way.

if you farf and royale with different feet though, just pick whichever one is stronger.

I'm half and half, and I can tell you you HAVE to use you stronger foot, regardless of the lead. Takes all the muscles in you leg just to hold
