honestly, i havent listened to any celtic frost besides morbid tales, to mega therion, and monotheist.

to mega therion is required listening. it's got the same morbid tales feel. i'm actually listening to it right now. monotheist is different, but i still enjoyed it. tom warrior is in a new band now called triptykon. their debut album is basically monotheist part II, so if you like monotheist check out triptykon.

i love jane doe. i used to listen to petitioning the empty sky over and over and over. you fail me was very good. no heroes was ok.

converge played MDF this year. i drunkenly yelled and talked shit to people who were leaving during entombed's set to watch converge, and derided them for watching converge instead of obituary. when i went inside to get beer during obituary's set, converge sounded so fucking good. too bad they were playing during 2 of the best bands at mdf.

I saw these dudes at MDF earlier this year and they ripped it up. Black metal with a nice middle eastern sound and lyrics that focus on mesopotamian/sumerian mythology. Sometimes its fast and sometimes there are mid paced riffs that have that nice classic Celtic Frost feel. This record is so goddamned solid.
