Haha I didn't even realize the dude on the wall is doing the same thing.

We were at PC and it got dark/cold so we decided to swing by Zero. We were worried about having to pay an arm and a leg like they usually want, but we just walked in and they didn't even care, haha.

The park is doing alright, nothing has been changed since they put in the skateboarder stuff, and things are coming apart at the edges a bit from lack of maintenance, but it's still completely skateable and all that.

thanks to that rail and opening day at the park i got 2 plates and 6 screws in my left shin

when i broke it they wheeled me out in a stretcher ... i went into shock cause it was a compound fracture and the only thing i remember from that whole afternoon was being wheeled past the vending machines and thinking how nice a pink lemonade would be.

sick pics ... misfit is bangin and soyal on the rainbow is death

Haha Ross, that shit was so gnarly. We've told them repeatedly that they need to mellow that thing out, but they never did, even back when they were excited about rollerblading and the park in general. Now they just don't give a shit at all about the park, I wouldn't be surprised if it closed the next time some kid gets badly hurt and it gives them an excuse to write it off as too big of a liability. Although if they did that they wouldn't have any reason to blast terrible christian rap at people.

Manley, the rail has been broken for over a year now. It's fine if you tap it into place, it's pretty flush if you do, and you don't carve at it all hard on an alley-oop trick (i.e. don't put too much sideways force into it), but yea it's gonna need a re-welding sometime soon. I need to get someone out there who knows how to weld and has a self-powered welder. As tired of it as most Detroiters are, It's still too legendary and fun of a spot to let it die.

My friend was convinced it would be no problem at all to skate street, cold and all. I'm almost glad our trip was on a tight schedule and we had to leave almost as soon as we got there, because I didn't really want to skate street in the freezing cold with him, ha ha

Its america, how fucking hard is it to weld something?

It's pretty hard when the nearest power outlet is about a half a kilometer away. The rail is completely skateable as it is so it hasn't been a big priority.
