new Alex Jones documentary!
They break the issues down point by point towards the end.
Disturbing to say the least.
Some of my doubts about the volunteer website USAservice.org come to my mind after watching this. I volunteered in DC on Inauguration Day, the goal was to paint an elementary school in SE, it was really a PHOTO OP. To kick off the usaservice.org website.
MTV filmed
Oprah filmed
Target had mad volunteers
DC Mayor Fenti(sp?) showed up
NPR reporters were in the mix also
Anyways it was a three story elementary school they painted halls on every story including the basement. There were 100+ volunteers alot more could have been done to improve the school besides the rushed painting job.
However my main problem was they had kids from the school sing a few songs on stage in the auditorium and they then held them on stage for at least an hour after their songs were done while all the volunteer organizers patted themselves on the back before ANY work had been done on the school.
On top of that the kids parents had been told to wait downstairs and eat breakfast while they were waiting for their kids to perform, however no one told them to come up when they began to sing.
The parents were invited up after a father of one of the girls heard the kids singing and ran up and yellled "Get my daughter off that stage!' "This is wrong".
Meanwhile Mayor Fenti stands off to the side looking quiet.

Srsly, It's not about Obama.
It's about the people who have enabled his campaign, and the people he has appointed, and the people that THEY ASSOCIATE WITH.
2 simple things to point out.....
-Obama's campaign was primarily financed by Wall Street
-The Secretary of Treasury appointed by Obama is a former president of the Federal Reserve

this movie isnt some attack on obama. its clearly showing how hes a puppet, and has no power at all. just like bush was, do you actually thing bush was making any of his decisions? it also goes over the false 2 party system. obama is just the face for a bunch of decisions made by the same motherfuckers who always run the show. WATCH THIS VIDEO, and draw your own conclusions. pause it where you think its a bunch of bullshit, and google whatever you dont believe and youlll be suprised. WATCH IT AND THEN TALK SHIT, theres some real shit in this movie and i think people need to see it.

Alex Jones gets off on his own name. Everything he does is a publicity stunt.
The obvious problem with conspiracy theories is that they are so hypothetical that they cannot be argued against because the logic is so vague. If this same method of reasoning was used in science it would be referred to as religion.
For the record, the wall street bailout began in september. That was 4 months before obama became president, and 2 months before he was even elected. if you remember, this was around the time that mccain announced Palin as his running mate and the republicans started to make headway in the polls. these were the same republicans that Alex jones had spent the past 8 years arguing AGAINST. before that he built his career on fighting the clinton administration. specifically janet reno. Alex Jones doesn't care who is in power, either way he will distort information to fuel his own career and further fuel the flames for conspiracy theorists.

Vague logic.....I'm assuming you've never read the final report of the Warren Commission or the 9/11 Commission report. It is unfortunate that the same agents whom distort the truth discourage the general public from further investigation.....especially in the internet age, where anyone with logic & reasoning skills can discover truth for themselves.
What is commonly called conspiracy theory is putting "official logic" to the test, in much the same way as scientists put theory to the test. The difference is that conspiracy theory cannot obtain absolute values, so people who are compelled to find definitive answers to certain questions are easily frustrated and quickly lose patience with the process. This "answer the questions" personality trait far outnumbers those willing to "question the answers". To better illustrate my point;
I'm thinking of a number between 23 and 42. I have PMed the answer to several Be-maggers (my conspirators), and will Paypal them $1 for each time they reveal the answer in their posts until one of you (the conspiracy theorists) PMs me with the answer. The first correct PM gets whatever's left out of $100 Paypal.
I already know my conspirators are gonna get all the money.

I'm not sure what the point of this is.
I love that your response to me is not to attack my analysis of the obama wall street bail out, but to point out my lack of knowlege of the Warren commission report (Im assuming the warren commission report on JFK) or the report on 9/11. it is true, I have not read them. neither has 98% of the american public. this is a fact that you were no doubt conscious of in your response to me. And again, I will point out the flaw in your logic.
I mentioned that the argument against obama based on the Wall Street bail out was bullshit, and I stated my reasons. your response to me did not acknowledge what I said, but instead referred to a totally unrelated document that would establish yourself as an "expert." What is interesting about this is that you didn't even bother to mention any information from the warren commission or 9/11 reports, or explain problems with them.
Note: after reading this I realized you were referring to two different reports. it was my mistake I apologize and I edited.

I read this quote as your opinion on conspiracy theory as a whole, not limited to the content of Alex Jones' documentary;
The obvious problem with conspiracy theories is that they are so hypothetical that they cannot be argued against because the logic is so vague. If this same method of reasoning was used in science it would be referred to as religion.
Since you asked about the Warren Commission, the obvious starting point is the "Magic Bullet" explanation to justify the opinion that Lee Harvey Oswald was the lone assassin. Remember, the objective here is not to definitively answer who shot JFK. It is to understand the MO of conspiracy, the tricks of the trade, and use this understanding to make more sense of the world today.

What the fuck? The magic bullet theory worked in the late 60's and early 70's before computer analysis could accurately recreate timing, space and body movement. It's not a theory taken seriously by many people any more (with the exception of conspiracy theorists).
Regardless. you are basing your argument on the idea that there was a conspiracy that led to the assassination of JFK and then building on that. I'm not sure that is the best way to tackle this argument.

Wow. The Select Committee backed up the Warren Commission's conclusion in '79, and the Assassination Records Review Board made no attempt to contradict this in '98. You must be one of those "answer the questions" types if you honestly believe conspiracy theorists take the magic bullet theory seriously.
Enough of that, I understand what you're saying about the present argument having little connection to JFK's assassination. I DLed the Alex Jones doco for future reference, but I haven't watched it and probably won't. I don't put much faith in his integrity, or Obama's leadership for that matter.
Let me also say that I have no problem with dissent. I am a firm believer in the marketplace of ideas. I do have a problem however, with people that make a living off of spreading information, as well as their own name, that is not supported by the scientific or historical communities. Not because I have an inherent respect for these communities, but because if these "theories" carried any weight they would be not only acknowledged but embraced by the academia.

I agree, and there are many of these types in the "conspiracy community" if you will. Disinformants. Those who will force their theories on others, ask yourself why. I hope you know that those who "question the answers" can easily identify these people and tend towards skepticism or outright ignorance.
Many academics have spoken out against the "official explanation" for both JFK's assassination and 9/11. I wouldn't say their findings are embraced by the academic community, but I'm sure you understand how this community survives. There is more than a century of scientific discovery that is not embraced by academia.

i get and agree with most of what your saying, but there is not "more than a century of scientific discovery that is not embraced by academia." if that were true, we wouldn't have electricity, cars, general relativity, nano technology, refrigerators, or pistachios in north america. Not to mention the internet that we are using to communicate.

Ok let me word that more accurately for you. There are scientific discoveries (some made more than a century ago) that are not embraced by academia. You're definitely one of those "answer the questions" types, you get VERY frustrated when the answers are not explicitly definitive. Go back to your points on the supposed financial crisis, I apologise for dragging this discussion off-topic.

But back to the point, what are these discoveries? and how do you know about them without their acknowledgment from academia?

They may be acknowledged, but for questionable reasons they are not embraced. Academia is by and large dependent on government funding, some fields of experiment are financially supported and some are not.....occasionally the government will simply buy the scientist.

I think this is because the majority lacks basic reading & comprehension skills. In America it seems reading is commonly defined as the ability to pronounce the words of a given text. I'm dumbfounded by people who can do so without comprehending any meaning in what they've just read, or even acknowledging this as the purpose of reading. How could someone develop their own opinions & views without these skills?

Whoa Whoa Whoa. There is no reason to be so condescending. The reasons behind peoples lack of dissent in america has to do with our values, and the effect of media in the 21st century. It isn't simply because everyone is less intelligent than you.

Your use of sarcasm demonstrates two points;
1. For retards it implies that you know the truth, and therefore have the power to mock those who don't.
2. For others it strongly suggests that you know nothing, and is merely a feeble attempt to compensate for repressed shame & guilt over your lack of knowledge.
I wonder which one of these points Be-mag will promote...

Whoa Whoa Whoa. There is no reason to be so condescending. The reasons behind peoples lack of dissent in america has to do with our values, and the effect of media in the 21st century. It isn't simply because everyone is less intelligent than you.
I would suggest that america's lack of dissent is the result of laziness, our values and the effect of media in this century symptoms of it. I wouldn't presume this laziness to be a weakness, unless one feels that dissent is now appropriate.

I have a confession to make.
I would have to say I am lazy.....
Congressional bills are way off my radar, I hardly keep up with the news, I reasoned that anything important I would definitely hear about, unfortunately people mostly talk about what the news talks about the most, CHRIANNA, and SUB-PRIME is all I hear these days.
However, I'm on an auto-mailing subscription for any bills dealing with the internet - if a bill comes up, I'm auto mailed pertinent details about what it has to do with the internet and also given a direct link and message to send to my appropriate congressman instructing him to keep the internet free from control and regulation - this makes me conveniently informed and active.
http://www.freepress.net/
I wouldn't be informed or active if it were not this EASY.
I also wouldn't be informed if I hadn't been invited to this auto mailer.
I imagine they have auto-mailers for all sorts of congressional bills and general stances on issues that I could just as easily subscribe to.....I've recently seen one exclusively for medical marijuana.....

one more thing, obama is the person who carried out the wall street bailout pretty much. he called out all the people who didnt pass it and made some bullshit speech about how they need to "step up for america". and then he gets on the microphone and says its all the bankers faults and he wishes it never happened. this guy is just a good speaker and hes really accomplished NOTHING politically, yet hes held to the same level as martin luther king jr and ghandi. and everyone just eats it all up.
Alex Jones doesn't care who is in power, either way he will distort information to fuel his own career and further fuel the flames for conspiracy theorists.
im well aware alex jones doesnt care whos in power...im kind of confused. are you saying that alex jones was in favor of mccain and palin during the bailout? because this is DEFINITELY not the case. and my point about the bailout was this, Obama as a senator got up on the stage and said some little pep talk saying that the people opposing this bill needed to "step up as americans" basically and sign the bill. then, as a president he starts talking about how the bailout was a mistake, basically blaming it on bush and acting like he would have handled it differently.
and im assuming you havent watched this video, and youre writing it off because of your previous knowledge of alex jones. there are plenty of "theories" that are backed up with more than vague evidence in this film. im not saying to worship alex jones and use him as your only news source. i watched a documentary on obama on pbs and what a crock of bullshit that was. just propoganda about how obama is going to save the world. youre entitled to your beliefs and i'll definitely listen to and respect what youre saying, but i think its pretty damn obvious that the left is just as bad as the right and no one seems to want to believe that. all these politicians are corrupt as hell and theyre just following orders from the people who really call the shots and people seem to think the g.o.p. are the bad guys but the dems are the heroes.

what he is saying is that, now that obama is president, he is alex jones' next target. it would have been mccain had he won, and more than likely it would be the same movie, with only a few differences.
i havent watched this movie and i will not watch this movie, but i have a question about it. how did the maker of this movie get his information? how is it that he is so well connected that he can find this stuff out when no other credible media source in the world is able to find it out? and dont say that the media is in on it either because there are plenty of media groups that would love to see obama fail.

It is because McCain and Obama are the same person with only a few differences. Why? Because they are nothing but puppets to the agenda of those who control them.
Every credible independent media source in the world has been able find this stuff out and they have been talking about it for years.
The same people who control the government control all mainstream media. It is called propaganda, my friend. this whole idea that the media is controlled by one or only a few people is absurd. who is the architect for running america, that is all powerful and decides elections? im not saying propaganda isnt prevalent in our society, but you make it out to be way crazier and complicated than it actually is.
i wont watch this movie because i know going into it it will have a bunch loosely filled "facts" that have no merit at all within them. I just dont understand how so few people could find out so much information about a subject like this. if someone is able to control all of the media, how are they sloppy enough to let something of the magnitude, that you are talking about, out of the bag?
please send me a link of a credible "independent" and objective media source explaining this whole idea.

Lets just say these conspiracy theories are real, I dont believe that they are, but lets just say so for this instance. How would our lives be different than they are now? Would we be magically living in some Utopian society without a care in the world? Probably not. Shit would still be fucked up. I dont understand how the people that are behind the conspiracy are benefiting that much. Is it their goal to turn the worlds population into their slaves? If it were I dont see how they could be successful for very long. I guess my point here is that this really doesnt matter, to me at least. I'm going to stick with the mainstream issues at hand with society, and I guess that means i'm brainwashed. But hell, I like it better this way because I just dont understand what we would get out of knowing that there were people so powerful to control the world because if they are already controlling it how would we be able to stop it. Again, I dont believe an ounce of these conspiracy theories, this was just a what if scenario.

People say that we can learn from history, so as not to repeat our mistakes. But if we're given an inaccurate record of history, then we won't learn and will likely repeat the same mistakes. One good example is the use of margin loans to precipitate the stock market crash of 1929. If Americans knew and had learnt from this, perhaps they would have avoided the subprime mortgage crisis of today.
