You wouldn't want a shoe with a lot of padding, i.e. a thick sole. It will make the skate feel tippy/wobbly, as you're adding height between your foot and the ground. I think a compact, snug, thin-soled shoe would work best, like an indoor soccer shoe or even some of the Diesel shoes or their clones. The '08 Basic wrap was literally a generic Adidas Samba, and most people thought those skated pretty well, so Sambas are a good bet if nothing else I guess.

i've been interested in this as well, i never see 11.5 footwraps for cheap so i tried a bunch of my shoes to minimal success. i am probably just going to pick up the next cheap soccer shoe or sambas i see, sambas are some of the best shoes to wear in general so to have them fit my skates would be pretty killer.

Pumas were to slim for me t use. Personally, I would go though the conference or INtegrated, since I think they still have things. Matter fact call SDSF cause I picked up some wilson footwraps for 25 off them. I think the farmer ones are better though, because they're not as slim.
