lots of people say it's easy to quit. and for lots of people it is. but every person is different when it comes to their susceptibility to nicotine addiction. i have friends who say they could never quit. i definitely can quit. it will be 'difficult, but i think i got lucky and my body doesn't withdraw badly without butts. but i really like smoking.
but when people say it's easy, it may have been for them, and it may be for me, but i know it's not for everyone.

I quit last year and it was a good decision. Altough I really thought I enjoyed smoking, turns out I just didn't like the feeling of not smoking. Altough there is a part of me that really misses smoking.
There is nothing like a cig and coffee in the morning, after experiencing it thousands of times, I think I have done it enough.
I also couldn't handle moderation of smoking, I smoked all the time. I wish I could do it moderetly because I would certainly indulge.
I think it is an ugly trait to think you are better than smokers because you are not, There is something admirable about smoking imho.
The best part of not smoking to me is being able to breath again. Athletic activities are more fun and I have more time and all around energy. If I on;y smoked one or two a day or a couple a week I probably wouldn't have had such caused such detrement to my body and would still be able to be athletic and breath deep.

i started smoking and never intended on actually being committed to something like that. over time it just became something that i'd do often. soon enough i became "addicted" as they say. i've never really seen it as a problem though, i don't smoke more than half a pack in a day (under certain circumstances) and i've always found it fun, in a odd sense. the rising prices is started to put a dent on how fun it really is though :shock:

i smoked pretty heavily for like 8 years maybe, about a year ago i was smoking like a pack or two of winston 100s a day, it was really gross. as of 2009 i've been trying to actually quit. i haven't bought any in awhile, but i'm around people who smoke a lot so i get cigarettes bummed to me sometimes, but i've been going a few days at a time without them. i have to quit by may when i move in with my girlfriend pretty much. also, i've gained like 10 lbs trying to quit which totally sucks, but it's a lot easier to breathe.

I quit a little while ago, I'm pleased with that decision, I didn't actually find it all that difficult to quit, it just made me sick, like I had a real bad cold/sinus infection almost, there was no like mental need for a cigarette, which was nice. Plus it made breathing and actually doing things a lot easier. But I guess I'm luckier than a lot of people are, and I'm real grateful I didn't let it get to the point where I had a real hard time with quitting.
