I've got it.

At first it sucked bad.

But after the first hour or so, things got 100x better than on that shitty vista.

Got our proverbial head in the sand, have we? It's seemed to me that I can't go three feet on the internet without seeing something about how awesome 7 is.

I'm formatting/upgrading my computer soon and will be going to 7.

Searching from the start menu now searches your whole computer.
If you type in an app name and hit enter it will open the application.

You can pin applications to your taskbar.

Right clicking will give you a menu of options for that program (open a list of the most recently opened files with that app, or open the app alone).

Easily pin windows side to side by dragging them to opposite ends of your desktop.

Compatibility mode allows you to choose which microsoft operating system you would like to emulate while running a certain program. Allows you to use 95% of all older software.

System requirements are low; 1 gig of ram; 1ghz processor.
Frankly the system requirements are fucked, if you are close to the minimum requirements you should stick to XP. Obviously a more modern operating system with it's more advanced features will be more taxing on your hardware than windows XP.
7 will run best on a system with up to date hardware (bought within the last 2 years). A multicore processor and 2 to 8 gigs of ram. In this case it will out perform XP in most aspects.

It's awesome, fast and good looking, kinda like mac, but with the exception that the computer actually becomes useful too!

Havn't tried 7 yet, I hated vista though.
XP sp3 was very good to me, and I still use it

I am about to build another computer...
winodws 7
ubuntu
I might add xp on there too but doubtful.

Ubuntu is probably the nicest OS I have ever used.
