i used to always by tall cans when i'd go to house parties so i could set my beer down temporarily and not have other people start drinking it (most people just buy 30's or cases of domestic canned beer) i'd be the only one with tall cans so i could tell if people stole my brew. nowadays i just drink beer that nobody else drinks at parties

yeah i totally agree. i think 22/24 oz is the best size container.

i mean 40 oz will always reign king, but i think 22/24 is the most practical for a drinker like myself.

40's will never be king. That last half inch is always so bad. I enjoy those big heineken cans though, they're a solid size.

I'm sure a bunch of you love Rogue, well that over-priced delicious beer is made 45 minutes to the west of me @ the coast in a town called Newport. (Not to sound cool) but my fam has a house at the beach in a town like ten miles north of there, my friends and I used to go to it all the time and have some very interesting run-ins with the Newport locals.

this is true, but it is BY FAR the most popular, well maybe Deschutes (Bend), but I had figured the majority of people here have drank rogue, they used to only go as far east as Chicago at least that is what they told my buddy and I(good math drug user mentioned in other post) when we took a day trip to the coast on mushrooms :shock: that brewery is crazy though, there are like all of these spiraling stair cases everywhere, and all the employees are drunk as shit.

I really like hair of the dog, it was featured on some travel show I forgot the name of a while ago, it is uber expensive though, it is designed to drink with certain food(only beer good with a meal)

Being in Chicago I don't have too many choices from Oregon, I just know that the state has a bajillion breweries and I love Deschutes.

Keep an eye out for Oakshire brewing in Eugene. Matt Van Wyk is going to be there new brewmaster very soon and he rocked the house here at Flossmoor Station. Super cool dude and excellent brewer, especially when it comes to IPAs.

Do you by any chance know him personally? I can say hi if you would like, or at least I will mention to him someone from Chicago told me he is the man. I honestly feel kind of bad for him, I lived in Eugene for 2.5 years and I can say knowing all of the ins-and-outs, Eugene is a complete pile of shit. Worst town ever. 250,000 of the worst people ever. Chicago has to me muuuuuuch better. But yeah, if you want to try some more OR brews, I can possibly fed-ex you some on the DL if you want to work something out. It is obv illegal but it might be fun to try.

Yeah, it is illegal but easy to do, there is a very healthy trading community on beeradvocate.

I've talked to him on several occasions but I doubt he remembers my name. You should definitely talk to him, such a friendly and outgoing guy.
