I guess I could have found an Xbox forum for this, but registering and all of that could take awhile, I need quick answers.

So my Xbox has been messed up for a bit now. I'm on Xbox.com looking at setting up a repair but I wanted to see if anyone had a similar problem and may know of a simple remedy for this. Basically whenever I try and play a disc, the console makes a loud grinding/clicking noise and eventually pops up with a screen that the disc is unreadable. Is there any light repairs I can make without messing up the console to fix this or do I just need to set up the repair for it? Also, how long is the repair process going to take, from sending it out, to getting it back.

Gracias, Be-mag.

Your drive is fucked, get a new drive. If they will repair it for free(red ring and its under warranty) it will take about 3 weeks fro you shipping it to them, and getting it back.

Does it sound like a soul grind or a frame grind? this is important before you send it.

Yea it sucks, xboxs are made like such shit. Every single one of my friends consoles have broken at least one time, a few of them broke several times.

Soul grind on a rough ledge using frames without countersunk hardware.

btw, wth is countersunk hardware?able is not countersunk, aka the bolts stick off the frame. Other frame companies such as the newer kizer frams make a recessed area so the bolts dont make contact with the grinding surface.

Stock razors frames always come to mind when I think of bolts scraping, such a terrible sound, especially when skating a synthetic rail.

Anyways, just printed my shipping label, this is a sad day :(
