bakerized had tons of shit for way cheaper than everyone else until the other shops went and bitched, thats the issue he is speaking of and thats why everything is the same price as other shops now.

Wow-
In such a small industry, with so little profit to be made in owning and operating a skate shop, I'd expect a bit more understanding and comradery amongst shop owners. To come on here and start blasting insults at other shop owners who are trying to make ends meet while supporting our industry at the same time shows immaturity and selfishness.
Chill out

You must be retarded! The message he is sending is clear and slow enough that you should be able to comprehend it piece by piece. He is willing to beat the other's prices, bottom lines. He has gone directly to the customers to do that! It's something you don't see in the business world often.

International orders?
YES YES YES, Free Shipping on all orders within the US
saw this on the website...FAIL
This may come off kind of harsh but I want you to actually think about it:
I dont want to see you go the same route as theskateshoponline.com did. Dont worry about a big flashy team with the best riders, if you are really going to be paying them I hope you are balling and have a lot of money to dump into this shit. What you are trying to do is pretty sweet but you are going to make a lot of other shops pretty angry by trying to undercut them and yet you havent really established yourself in the industry. Focus on getting your name out there in positive ways, not trying to snake other shops that have been around for ever for a couple bucks cheaper and some free shipping. You cant just appear on be-mag one day, then start some drama with other shops/the conference and expect everyone to start buying from you.

I just wanted to put it out there that we have some shady ass people telling lies to companies that aren't true.. While the people doing this know damn well they offer discounts just like i do.
With that said bakerized and the conference will still be working together, Ill have Razors up on the website as soon as i have my grand opening... everything will be suggested retail and no discount codes work anymore, we simply moved to free shipping on all orders.
If anyone has any questions don't hesitate to ask.
I cant FUCKING WAIT to skate this weekend...EGH.

we are doing this for Rollerblading
yes, because what rollerblading REALLY needs is people spending less money on it...
every shop in the industry sells products for basically the same price, and all offer free shipping somewhere between $89-$100.
What wins shops customers is customer service, image, and reputation, supporting organizing and hosting local events to promote the local scene, and having an actual storefront - like Revolution, Neglected Truth, or Intuition - not tucked away in some industrial park somewhere between Mike Life Auto, Walt's Pavement, and Application Technologies >

I have a store front, a warehouse, AND do all the things you said shops should do.
I sponsor comps, We have an image, a team, a shop, skate with the locals every week, great customer service, match prices, give out free shit with every order, and a soon to be indoor heated park to skate in the warehouse.
WTF are YOU doing for Rollerblading.... I've been skating for 13 years on top of that.... just so you know.

Revolution is in a strip mall on a busy street, NT is on a busy street in a neighborhood with colleges and a high school, places where anyone can walk in off the street and check out rollerblading. You're in a business park.
Image? Your website shows the same concept of design and professionalism that high school kids who hang out at hot topic have. You personally come on here and argue with messageboard kids, try to talk down other shops and owners, and your homepage has nothing to promote your riders/team, whatever.
Me? Well I've only been skating for 8 years, not a big 13, so clearly I must not know anything about rollerblading. But in those 8 years I've made countless edits promoting my scene and keeping it on the map when others have failed to do so. I'd say thats acceptable for the duration of my involvement, and mentioning future prospects holds no ground until there's tangible evidence, so I'll keep mine to myself for now.
I like that you're trying to start a shop and do things for Ohio, that state needs it. I'm only saying you need to "slow your roll" so to speak, and get your shit straight and build a reputation, before you come on here bashing other shops and shop owners, and trying to undercut their sales.
I've never heard Majette or James try to tell someone that the shop they prefer to order from is whack. They just do their thing and are confident in how they run things and their loyal customers.
Stealing product isn't the only reason Blue Wallace failed.

Before you talk shit, you need to know the complete story behind why i started this thread in the first place. If you want the real story feel free to PM me, I won't lie to you.
But, You can have your opinion like everyone else...oh wait... Just so you know i'm 5 seconds away from the biggest indoor skatepark in Columbus and the BCSD park 2 years ago.... Yea, bad location...I know... rollerbladers here arent fucking pussies and they don't complain, We have a badass rollerblade shop and thats all that matters to them.
On the other hand, It's kinda fucking stupid to move into a teeny bopper strip mall with nothing to skate indoor and heated like my location has when its a blizzard outside here... dont you think?, Until then I don't see the point in losing any potential like we have planned.
Your opinion was noted, but your not any kind of business man so i'll take your opinion with a grain of salt.
I'm still willing to give you better deals then everyone else... suck's you'll have to pay shipping though.. oh well rollerbladers can afford it right?

why should he care about other shops bitching about his pricesIts not helping if he is trying to undercut people and in the long run it will screw him. Im no economic genious, but I saw first hand the birth, and death of our local skateshop because he had big plans but not so big funds. I know I dont buy things based soley on the price.

the big deal is companies don't want their retailers undercutting each other which is why they typically aren't allowed to advertise below a certain price.

And since when does an appeal to "someone doesn't want this" hold water? People bitch about stuff being too expensive and we ask "What do you want me to do? Sell it for nothing? Make no profit?" Then we bitch about someone selling stuff too cheap and we ask "What do you want me to do? Make it more expensive? Lose all my sales?"

skateboarding websites can do that bc their industry is big enough to have competitive pricing among shops...if this was the case with rollerblading amall, rw, etc would be the only shops...rollerblade companies enforcing shops to follow MSRP is what keeps small shops like bakerised and tri-state skate in business
BEST!!! shop around riight now
