Deshi carbons white!!!

So this is mainly directed at spaniard/Oli, but if anyone else has any clues...

When is the white&black version of the carbon coming out? The all-black version is making its way into stores, but I keep seeing the white&black versions scattered about the internet. I think they look way better than the all-black. But no shops seem to sell them, except for pre-order, and when you ask when they expect to have them, they all say "no idea".

wont even consider buying until the whites are out and someone not from the conference reviews them after months of skating them , like i get there plan but i find it stupid cause not everyone wants the blacks and you should realy give people the choice, how about making 5 pairs of black and 5 pairs of white a week, its not like everyone hasnt waited for them forever so im sure having the whites out now as well as black in limeted sizes wouldnt be such a big deal and it could tell you which ones people prefer

yeah but at the same time what about all the people that pre ordered whites and now have to wait 2 months+ longer than the kids that ordered the blacks. and on that note how are you guys even filling the preorders of people with only producing 10 skates a week. and how are you choosing who gets their skates or not? like i pre-ordered the whites in december and canceled the order when i realized i wouldnt even have them by my bday 5 months later and now wouldnt have had them til 7-8 months later. personaly i think deshi should just be making mad fucking skates and not ship them to shops till they have enough for all the kids who preodered and have extras to sell. i dont understand why a company would make 10 skates then ship them out, then make 10 skates and ship them out. why not just take a month and make 50 skates then ship them out

Adam, I totally see your point. It does kind of hurt the shops here because I know personally a few kids who ordered their skates from over seas already.

I'm sure it was a tough decision about who and where to ship the product once it had enough to go out. There is probably a ton of things that went into account that I don't see. Maybe you do.

ok so 10 pairs a day thats 50 skates a week and there still isnt one retail pair in the us yet, id realy like to know in the 9 months since they were supposed to come out how many they have made. besides that the sizes most people skate keep being given away to people who have already had proskates for other conference companys. all im saying is instead of hyeping the shot out of a skate why not get on shit and produce a select number of skates like razors does then send them out at the same time to all the shops. killgore is right, this is going to make us shops loose lots of money (not that they havent already due to release dates never met) and the fact that the us wont get ours for probly another 2 months means the whites wont even be out for probably a year+. imo deshi should have had the skates fully manufactured and ready to ship way before they let people preorder the skates. like take for instance razors, remz and valo. you usualy wont see a pic of the new skates till about a week before they are in shops and ready to go, never any wait or fuck ups cause they are smart and wont advertize a product till it can accualy go to the public shortly after. on another note ive also been waiting on the eisler thrones since idk like november and they have yet to even come out. honestly is it that hard to put a fucking skin and light blue/grey parts on a skate that has had the same mold for almost 10 yrs....... and im not even gunna go into the fact that usd is dropping their whole team in the next few months excepot billy oneil and demetrious. the conference will loose all my support if you fuck richie out of a skate then kick him off and pull a rollerblade. but my sources are strong as fuck and i know they are getting rid of rachard whos been on usd for 10 yrs and alot of other people who are continuously killing shit, even sagona is off just so they can pay 3 people more money and billy can be the team manager. like no disrespect, i love billy and he is a realy good dude but i dont see the need

Well there is some truths in this post and some nonsense, like kicking off the whole usd team etc

The release dates thing is fucked up, and it gets me insanely frustrated, our communication with the factory is pretty awful and we never know what to believe, but we cant just not sell just incase, i dont know i dont want to get involved with that, its a touchy subject and something im not really involved with, shipping and release dates, i just go by what im told.

as for the delay in the skates getting to the us, The EU skates that are arriving now come by AIRshipment, which means that its a lot more expensive for us, but we had to get them onto the market or face a riot. It means they arrive 3 weeks earlier. We did this because of the unnaceptible delay and it eats all the profit entirely. I believe that the US distribution didnt want to loose all the profit paying for airshipment understandably, and is waiting for the official release.

The thing is we are shipping these constantly but they are also constantly selling out. So yes, the release date fucked the shops originally, but now when the shops are selling 30 pairs of carbons in a day, then it half makes up for it i think. The fact is we knew this was going to be a revolutionary skate but i guess we didnt realise how much, the first shipment could have been tripled and still sold out in 3 days pretty much, and now demand is so high and they continue to be made by hand and it is a slow process, and people are trying on their friends and loving them and more and more people want them.

I want to say that this post is made by me as a personal understanding of whats going on and not necesarily 100 factual, i dont know the exact details of orders and deliveries to the US.

I just felt it necesary to state my views. And were not firing the whole usd team except billy and demetrios thats just nonsense.

Cheers for the replies Oli. Its good to be able to post a message up on a board like this and get answers from an industry "insider", rather than struggle with shops or trying to go through the conference direct and get nowhere. I appreciate you dont know the full picture but being able to put a face/name to a company and know you are a skater (not a businessman in a comfy leather chair who can only be contacted via a PA) is defintily a good business move.

Some people may think "whats the big deal about them being in white, just get them in black", well this is kinda a big invesment and I want to be happy with what I get, that includes looks as well as performance. If you wanted a car in a particular colour, and the car dealer said "weve only got it in blue, get over it, its the same damn car!" you'd think, fuck off, you dont tell me what to have. You'd look elsewhere for a car that does tick all your boxes! Looks and colour ARE important in a skate, the same skates in different colours massively increase sales and choice, if they werent important then youd never get skates released in different colourways!

And stop saying "this is rollerblading, get over it" as some kind of get-out clause to quality service. The industry has advanced in leaps and bounds in a decade, and that includes sticking to release dates. 90% of the time the companies get it right, sods law its the skate I want when the release date is fucked! :-(

Thanks man, and fair enough, i wanted the white ones too. The initial plan was to have them out at the same time and they are in production at the moment as well as the black ones. The original release dates were wildly off, probably due to naivety on our side and other unforseen difficulties, but at least we know now that they are in production and on the market to some degree, with great feedback which is only going to improve.
