You don't need to make the cuff lower, it flexes just fine how it is. It's true that it's tall, but those bamboo cuts let it flex quite a bit. You can lower the cuff padding if you want though, just take out the screws that mount the strap and the carrying loop in the back, slide the padding down, and put the screws back in in the higher holes.
