I'd buy it 8)
Imagine valo designs with carbon fiber shell which will make them lighter a bit. I don't think it's a ripoff also because the idea of using carbon is good in general and props to the conference, but why not use it in other blades?
really...
people actually like the velcro skins?

Valos are the best looking skate on the market.
100% yes, but only if they still looked like Valos, of course.

i would try them, most definitely. i mean, the only way they could do it is with a pre-cut toe, because they would be stiff as fuck. but yea, i loved the valos i tried a few years ago, thought they were a bit heavy.

a pre cut toe?
if they make a carbon skate, hopefully they will improve the shell sizing eliminating the need for toe cutting
I could just imagine a Valo carbon skate being like $500.

Thats what I was thinking. They are already ridiculously expensive.

Would be awesome if they did it keeping the form of the shell but solving shell sizing making it one shell for each size. And of course keeping up the good work on overboot designs at the same time.
Why would it be 500$? Is the carbon material so expensive or what? I'm not awared of that.
But really i hope they do it so much, not that i don't like current ones, i love them but switching to carbon material might just save rollerblading

The deshi carbons, boot only are $350. Valos just being valos are already like $300 boot only. So i really would imagine them being close to 500 dollars if they were made out of the carbon material.

I don't see the necessity of carbon fiber. It's not that great. For some sick reason I look forward to the dismissal of the carbon skates a few months after people get them and get bored with them, like any other skate.

Mr Julio should most def look into that.
Deshi is leading the way of future technology. It's just a matter of time before other brands catch on.
I'm still buying the carbons when they get here.

There is no necessity, just the material is better than plastic it's tougher and lighter from what i know. And considering that soulplates and overboot are in place on valos and are great it will mean that the skate will remain the same but will be lighter. I am not sure though, there must be some downsides besides the price.

how is that a knockoff to use material? does deshi own carbon fiber? carbon fiber is just another material, like urathene, UHMW, etc.

That is standard in speed skates. So you could say it's a knock off of a knock off but really if it's all in the name of progression then it depends on the quality of the product to decide if it was a bad move. Let's not say a hypothetical skate is a bad idea.
And about the necessity of carbon fiber, I don't see it being a better material. I am sure there are better materials than the plastics we use but I think they will be more flexible than carbon fiber. Something more rubbery and plastic-like seems like it would be more agile for the stunts we do. It would be cool to see skates made for diferent types of skating, like low to the ground grind box stuff and huge skatepark air type stuff. There are millions of possibilties but no money (and thus no desire) to make it happen.

na no need for any other company's to use carbon, doesn't seem practical, deshi needed this since all their skates through time become shit and floppy, this i guess will save them and make their skates last as long as any hard shell skate, i don't know

if valo were to make a redesigned boot, then maybe carbon fiber would work, but to make a carbon fiber roces m12 and put a skin on it would be not smart. you want flex. carbon fiber is used to make bikes as stiff as steel. i dont want my skates as stiff as steel, i want some flex. no go.
carbon fiber in speed skates are generally used to strengthen the bottom part of the boot from what i understand for better power transfer. how that would help in a roces m12 type mold i dont know.
