nice shot, but where's the landing?

Its a sidewalk at the end of the rail into the parking lot but i felt including it by getting a higher shot just wouldnt add to the shot. I know for rollerbladers some might say its a must to always show the landing but leaving it to the imagination for the better composed shot is sometimes worth it in my opinion. I was also kinda hiding in the grass as my brother filmed it behind a sign, on a busy road and it was a clinic full of people.

Exactly, it was shot with a 200 shutter speed which is the top if i dont have my sb800 attached to it, which left me with that darn f11 . I guess i could have attached it and used one of my cheapo flashes for the left side light but i really dont think they would have synced at that high speed. Soooo, a ND filter would have been great, or just use exposure compensation to knock me down to an ideal 5.6. I just didnt come to me till after the shot, but yea, enough photo rambles, sorry if it peoples eyes, i didnt use any soft boxes or anything.

im actually not too sure about that because i attempted to use a 70-300 on that angle and i just didnt get what i wanted. If anything i would have wanted to use a 12-24, or 18-55 rather than my 28-58.

i was referring to his skin tone. it looked like it had the tell tale signs of raising the saturation too much and causing the red to pop out in skin.

I'd don't like this photo, photographically wise. Flash in shot, hand chopped by the pole, should have gotten closer, stairs needs fill. I enjoy it for the good times "Do some tricks on this 8 stair!", then seeing an extremely good rollerblader be a coward about it! HAHA! Kevin (Phan who also is a photographer and posts on here) will see this and LOL probably. Also stoked on developing film in my bathroom. Meh, kill it! Please!

giving them eyelights might help bring out some more character...except for the top ones which I can tell were intentionally shadowing the eyes...

I'm curious on the specs of your whip. I spy cusco bracing, apex afc/vtec, and some sort of n-1 style exhaust. 2.0L or 2.2L?

Its a 2.0 with everything you jsut said on it haha, only jsut got it, looking for a hardtop just now, maybe supercharge it if i can find a kit in the uk :)

Thanks man! i actually tried puttin a flash behind him after this shot and i just couldnt quite get it to look the way i wanted...and then we left haha. i'll definitely have to keep workin on it. i'll try again next time we skate!
