I could have lit this photo better. Instead of the sb being on the right, i should have had it towards the bottom left reflected by a silver umbrella at 1/2 power and a sunpak 544 on the right at 1/2 power. i dodged the foreground to because it was pretty dark (original here: http://www.flickr.com/photos/ryanloewy/3350405630/). hopefully i can get the chance to go back with the kid and shoot the photo again with the improved lighting set up scenario or whatever...

so we thought we were gonna get kicked out after 1 or 2 tries at the rail becasue the security office is the office the rail is in front of. i only brought one flash and my camera, thus the flash was not metered. i needed to put some light on the rail in the shadow and it was a pleasant surprise that it actually hit dan and put a slight rim light on him. hope to shoot this under better lighting conditions in the future, but i am please at how this came out

I don't think I mind the guy there as much as what the guy is doing, and how he's standing. I feel like he's being too casual for the mood of the picture. Too realistic. It looks like he's picking up a copy of GQ at a barnes and noble ya know?

there are two lines reflected but on the actual product theres just one line

dude about 2 years ago i was commissioned to shoot "models" for a new agency

it turned out to a be a call girl service, some of the girls where incredible, im talking FHM, Maxim cover girls, they told me they charge up to 5 grand a night for a fucking date and an extra 5 grand for on top for sex

all the photos the girls had to have their faces covered with weird things like silk scarfs ect, it was crazy, i remember the girl assisting me turned up late and when she walked on set gave me a look of "what kind of perverted shit have you got going on here"

The next 2 were taken tonight, and as soon as we got out of the car to start shooting the rain came on but we powered through and spent a good 45 minutes at this spot.

I was out doing a pre-production walk-through for a local television show my brothers and my business are producing and the owner of this house asked me to take some photos for him. All i had on me was a nikonD80 i was taking some test shots with, a speedlight, and some graduated filters. Its kinda funny because the guy was basically tony montana, spoke like him and everything. Asked me if i liked the huge painting in the bedroom of a chicks ass. I told him i wanted to come back and shoot with all my equipment but he basically demanded I shoot then because he liked my photos, who am i to say no to tony montana ya know. I totally couldnt get the one photo to work out with the chick on the white dancing horse because i didnt have the light. He is quite the trick-master. He did about 5 insane tricks on this rail in about 5 minutes.

I don't like posting huge pictures on here so you look at the image as a whole before scrutinizing the skater/trick/my photographic flaws hahah. I know it's faux pas but I like the sun there. Can't quite place why. Plus that was the only acceptable angle from that side of the rail. You can see Ryan filming there with the prime spotz and plus the "castle" wall was creating a huge shadow making for some tricky contrast.

click on the photo and then click the "all sizes" button (magnifying glass)

then choose original, large, medium, small or thumbnail and scroll to the bottom to get the image code (www.flickr.com/photos/ivan/12345.jpg) or whatever it is

then (sorry if you know this but just trying to be thorough) click the image button on the top of the reply screen on bemag, copy and paste the url of the photo and click the image button again and post that shit
