no...who said the d70 was better?...the d20 is for sure a better camera, I think the nikon kit lens is alot better though. so the canon will cost a bunch more if you want a good lens plus i would assume it costs more then the d70 alone as well.

um i forget what kind of hasselblad it was and it was the epson 1650 scanner, after i shoot a few more rolls i'm going to rent a nice medium format scanner to get sharper shit.

and lacha, thanks i didn't even notice that, if we had access to a studio would rather have shot it on a solid background but it was 3am and we were bored.

I like it, it just seems like the focus of the picture is the rail instead of the roller, Try some different stuff with lighting, maybe try pinlighting him with a flash or maybe a different angle.

haha people are so defensive its funny....you think like everyones attacking you or something...people are just telling you whats wrong with the photos...and in doing so trying to help you out. when you use a digital camera you need to whitebalance so the color is correct. there should be a feature to allow you to do this manually on the camera...all you have to do is point the camera at something white and hit the little button and it should white balance and give you acuarate color.

In reference to the photos with purple sky: The photo in my sig was taken in a similar coloured pool. I found that when auto adjusting the colour in photoshop that the colour of the pool had changed the other colours too. My shot was taken with my digital cam on auto white balance so I think similar has happened here.

I Just put my radio slave transmitter on the hot shoe.. The holga 120N has a hot shoe, I thought it might be more useful than the one with the built in flash..
Oh and I got the Canon canoscan 8400f, does a pretty good job with 120 film, not so much with 35mm..

if I were trying to get that shot, I would just pinlight her face with a 150 full spot, blow out her face then drop the exposure so her face is properly exposed but everything else is underexposed.

you could just make sure none of the light is hitting the background and properly expose for the face. if it is naturally dark in the studio/location then the background will go black.

nope, i didnt burn in the background. i shot the flash at the ceiling and that's how it reflected off his glasses. i was playing around in RAW so that's why it kinda looks over processed
