got these 2 days ago from inlinewarehouse. of course i took off the brake. so juiced. they are soooo fast and smooth. yesterday i did 4 miles in 16 minutes (which isnt very good, but my ankles aren't used to speed boots yet) - today im doing 5 mi, resting for a bit, then doing 6mi.
anyone here get down on speed skating (distance skating, w/e you wanna call it)?

going from 55mm w/ABEC?? to 90mm w/ILQ-9 feels so rad.

Looks cool.

I've always wanted to buy a pair of »fast« skates last year, but didn't because I'd possibly use them only a few times then loose interest... There isn't so much to skate around here, too.

I want some frames like that for my blades so I can skate distances to spots then switch to "trick frames"

they were $192. if you buy an Inlinewarehouse shirt you get 10% off.
total for skates, shirt, and tax was $198.

FYI if you get these ones (K2 Radical 90) they run true to size. i skate 8.5 xsjados and i ordered size 9 K2's.... could've ordered 8.5 and it would've fit just fine.

EDIT:
the route i did in 37 minutes in xsjados i did in 28 minutes in the K2s. its about 6 miles.
the route i did in 29 minutes in xsjados i did in 22 minutes in the K2s. its 5 miles.
more than 1 minute/mile improvement just by switching skates and this is just the 2nd time i've really skated them.
i recommend.
