My computer stopped working today, probably an easy fix, but I also have the full warranty/accident protection running. It's like a 4/5 year old compaq, they probably don't make the model anymore, and I've heard rumors that if your computer's unfixable they'd send you a newer one. Anyone know anything about this?

Ya, shouldn't be a problem. Call compeq and send it over, I am sure they won't even think about sending you a brand new computer for your five year old computer that doesn't work. I wonder if I could do the same thing with my bimmer?

Just a rumor I heard. It kinda makes sense, if it's going to cost them more than the computer's worth to fix it, and they can't get you the same model, they gotta do something. It'd probably just be another shitty computer, but still might be better quality.
