Yea my back kills all the time but its just because of the 13 years of abusive ive put my body through. How long have you been blading for trace told me only a couple years?

i mean ive really been skating as long as i can remember.
i rollerbladed for a couple years then all my friends started skateboarding. i skateboarded for about 4 years then started rollerblading again in like 2006.
i have been sleeping on james couch or floor everynight. im sure that doesnt help. and ive pulled my back out 4 times in the past year.
Thats probably it..If I dont sleep on a real bed my back is a mess the next day. Look up some good stretches/exercises that help your back out and try them out, maybe see a chiropractor.

I really hurt my back in November, strained ligaments or something, I actually couldn't go to work for two weeks because I couldn't sit without extreme stabbing pain or do much else but lie flat on my bed, made me feel soo old and stupid for wrecking my body. I didn't skate for about 2 months, which was not enough time off at all. I've been skating a lot now that the weather is nice and my back is not liking it but its bearable for now. I'm pretty sure my back is going to bother me in some way forever unless I can force myself to stop skating for an extended amount of time and go through the correct exercise/stretch routine. Why does skating have to be so fun, stupid skating.

yeah i stretch everyday.
oh and i was in a bad carwreck 3 weeks ago. that probably plays a part too.

yeah im sure if i took a loooong break from skating and just stretched all the time and slept on a bed i would be ok.
but skating is too much fucking fun to stop for more than like 3 days.
I have a disc that slips sometimes. It happened this afternoon, it's excruciating, worst pain I've ever felt and I can't move for at least half an hour, on a couple of occasions for days. sucks, but it comes with the sport. Weighing 220 and doing flips and shit all the time can't be good.

I have chronic leg pain. Doctor says its fibromyalgia. It feels like as if you ran up all the stairs at a stadium the day before but you really only walked around at the store. I've had it for about a year or so now.
I have a prescription for tramadol and it works wonders. I love it.

I have a horrible back, I get Cortisone shots like once every two years or more and it seems to work pretty well.

I had 2 disk protrusions in the L4 and L5 going right into the central nerve. shit was the worst, had to get surgery and now im one of the lucky few that had a full recovery. But what really helped while I was in pain was stretch and have a positive mentality about it. theres so much research about how your subconscious can relieve so much pain

I have it to. Rolling for 11 years and 2 car accidents. Keeping my abs in decent shape and stretching seem to help.
I had the worst back pains for well over 5 years from blading and sitting/working slouched at a computer fulltime. I used to get my girlfriend to crack my back like twice a day, and it would crack like crazy. Since moving to Aus I started surfing and that strengthened my back muscles and pulled my spine and held it in perfect alignment, so I no longer have any pain and my back never cracks. Rollerblading over develops your lower back muscles and pulls your spine out of alignment, it isn't abuse, it's purely the certain area of muscles being out of balance. If you do some sort of upper back exercise it will help or cure it. Try working out with free weights and cables and mimic the movements of a surfer paddling.

if money is an issue, here's a good way to make a homemade heat pack:
from some website:
I make heat packs all the time and I find that using an old mismatched sock works great. Fill it with uncooked white rice, tie the top and place in microwave for 1 to 2 minutes, depending on the size of the sock.
Stretching and heat will do wonders. A chiropractor may help some things, but if you have anything torn in your back, a chiropractor can't do anything.

i have scoliosis.. not too much pain for the most part, but it definitely hinders me from working out/skating to my fullest sometimes. lower back pain constantly, but, im used to it and don't notice it unless i have been skating or drawing for hours.

I've done this for years. Works great. you don't want to heat it for more than 3-4 min or you'll burn the rice and it'll smell really bad and try to use cotton sock. Or they might melt.

Yep, especially during winter.
I wake up and my backs got me locked the the fetul position.
Its really fucked now, tried to skate yesterday, couldnt skate transitions due to the landings and just ended up skating a kneed high ledge.
I lift heavy as fuck things at work that are not only heavy but awkwardly shaped and have to do it quickly.
