Best on the market right now for sure. But Fiziks with Hitchhikers is better.

If you start hanging up on things, try sizing down to 55mm's.
i like to start skating a frame flat rather than switching from anti to flat. the grooves will be different. hopefully it works out for you bruv

Frames that were broken in with anti/freestyle = switching to flat with 58mm wheels = you gonna die.

Normally I would recommend getting new frames if you are going to start skating flat, but that groove looks like it will be fine. Have fun! It's weird at first because your feet are so much more maneuverable, but once you get used to it skating anti just sucks.
Those wheels were on the Roces 'Street' skate in the mid '90s.
I just recently put together a flat setup, too. But just for wallrides, gaps and to roll difficult terrain. I'll stick to anti for everything grinding related.
I love skating flat. I don't even consider switching back. Sick setup Boris.

Its not the getting use to maneuvering og 8 wheels thats the problem.
Its locking up on ledges thats the biggest hurdle on flat frames

+ the SL backslide angle, where royals are practically frontsides

welcome to the land of speed without effort and really smooth turning. Grinding is not a big problem when you get the hang of it.
Just ordered some Richie thrones with flat Slimlines, stoked to try it out.
Now only if it didn't just SNOW, god damn Edmonton.
