ah, but tallahassee is quite hilly as well. most people here ride with a ratio that i guess is considered pretty gay elsewhere. mine is 42/17, and a lot of dudes have those 20 tooth cogs in the back with bigger chainrings.

i disagree with you on the whole Bontrager componantry sucking, yes there are better parts out there but i am not willing to spend the money on them. all stock bikes are overpriced, which is why i feel i am getting a good deal on this being $900 brand new 2008 seeing as this years model is pushing $1600. we all have opinions, and mine is that this is a good deal for an entry level full suspension mountain-bike.
