View Full Version : is this even possible? AL and the rest of the be-mag, help!
before i get bashed by all the valo soul lover, i want to clarify few facts.
first, i would skate valo until the day i die.
second, it is impossible, IMPOSSIBLE, to get valo or any valo related parts in taiwan.( i am currently teaching here)
third, i can find razor soul here easy.
so here is the question:
would it be possible to outfit a pair of valo with razor souls?
since the shell mold is pretty much the same, i think it is do able but i still want to hear some respectable opinions.
AL, what is your take on this?
has anyone done it before?

Get someone to send you some Valo souls. Saves you a lot of time, hassle and also lowers the chance of having ugly skates.

Almost definately possible, might take a bit of custom modification with a stanley knife but thats not too difficult.

haha man i wish i can find something like that here.
most of the people either freeskate or fitness, so naturally shops only carry free skates or fitness skates. the few specialty shops that have aggressive style inlines jack up the price so high i dont even want to walk in there to check them out.
on top of all that, most of the store attendants from that kind of shops are just hot girls that dont even know what the fuck i am talking about. i will be pointing at a pair of remz haffey 2.0 asking about sizing availabilities, she would be telling me i can wear a size 10 and still skate fine. ( i wear a fucking size 8)
gwad i hate none skater owned shops.

To be honest i think nimh souls couls actually be a better fit, due to the fact the design of nimhs is closer to that of a majority of valo skates, but that is entirely dependant on which valo's you're curently rolling on. For instance, the Valo TV2's seem to have an almost identical soul kit to that of the Nimh Shaman skates.
However, i've never really been that much of a fan of nimhs. Despite being a skater run company the actual manufacture of the product is not as good (In my opinion) as that of Valo or Razor.
Still, it isn't me who is going to be skating them so really it's your choice. If i was in your position i'd go for whichever is most readily available.

In that case it's probably worth sticking with the Razor souls, i don't want you to think this is a garuntee that it will work, because i haven't tried it and like i said i don't know which valo's and razor's you're refering to, but like i said earlier there's always the option of "customisation" with a stanley knife. I've had to repair my skates enough times :P. Currently rolling on Remz 07 03's had them since November 2008 and they are seriouly beat up now XD.

Pardon me sir, HK is but TW is not part of CN so the custom still applies.

epic fail on 022y, not valo replacement parts, only skates with limited sizes.
