Those legs look like basically the newer version of the 3011BN, which I have. It's solid as hell and goes really tall, but it's also pretty heavy/big and doesn't do low angles- the legs can only spread out like 30 degrees (looks like this new one does do it though). The leg locks are wing-nut-type, which is solid but annoyingly slow to use (i'd rather have flip locks). I love how tall mine goes, the max height on this one without extending the center column is only 50", that's kinda short.

AFAIK the 701 head is just a smaller/lower-weight-capacity version of the 501, which I've used briefly and like and heard pretty unanimously good reviews of, so it's probably legit. Manfrotto stuff seems to be legit across the board, actually.

I would suggest you the Velbon DV-7000. http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/366741-REG/Velbon_DV_7000_DV_7000_Tripod_with_2_Way.html
It's about 150 dollar i suppose, kind of hard to get but the best in its budget.
You can move the cam with it very smooth.

The Velbon is discontinued and while it's a great ~$100 tripod, I think Nemi was/is looking for something nicer, which the combo he posted most definitely was.
