So I just dl'ed premiere pro cs3 so I could start making solo edits and stuff. I'm shooting with a canon powershot s90 (lul) which makes every video it shoots .mov. Every time I go to to import my files, premiere says the file format is not supported. It's says clearly that .mov is supported on the adobe website.
fuuuuuu
Some help from be-mag would be nice. I know I'm new, but I will return the favor with edits!

i was having the exact same problem for cs4.
i just googled how to change the extension. and i don't remember how, but i did it without downloading any programs. just a quick change somewhere on my computer. but as soon as i changed the format to AVI this fuckin error message came up saying "the audio format in this video is not supported" so i googled that, people said download a codec.. but it didn't work...
So, what i did is realized that if you just edit in windows movie maker, publish it to your computer, and then go into premiere and import it there..(because the format automatically changes to .wmv you know?) then it works perfectly fine. :-D

Porter county son, don't ever come here if you value you civil rights and freedoms. There are waaaaaay too many cops with really nasty attitudes. Unless it's like that everywhere in Indiana...
But thanks for the help, I'll see what I can do with it.
