i was told this weekend that i should call myself a photographer, based on some of my photos, but i wanted actual photographers to give their 2 cents if i should just limit myself to being called a graphic designer, which is how i make 99.99% of my income.

Well first of all, you shoot a Nikon, so -99 points are automatically deducted, haha ;)
I really like your city scape photos.

As to being called a photographer...
Some people say if it's how you make a living and you sell enough to make 50% of your income, then you can call yourself a photographer.

I say it's the same as rollerblading. As long as you love it, put time and effort and keep at it, no matter how much you fall or how good you are, it's what you do and also who you are.

well, at least you guys didn't shit on me, so my stuff must not totally suck. i still have to wait a month or so until i can get a D-90 to replace the D-40 I was using from work. i'm slowly stashing away cash in the meantime so i can focus on getting into the 1.8-1.4 range and not have such a huge sticker shock.
