This means NEW sig time!!

A saturday out blading with Blake O’Brien, Blake Cohen and Emill, Getting some shots, clips whatever, we were having some fun In the Minnesota heat! Blake took us to this spot that he laced two really sweet moves on for the video camera both of which were super rad! After that spot we headed not too far away to this local piece right on the lake! we had talked about it the previous week and thought he was gonna do it but decided his skates were too perfect and new and not worth ruining. The spot was already too fast and steep so we had to say no to rubbrick and just go with wax! I said oh what the heck, ive got an extra pair of souls at home. started giving it a few try’s and got some definitely good falls in the process. Skating flat made it a bit more of a challenge I think and falling on the non stair side was way more painful than falling on the stairs! So here are a few photos from a trick I did on Saturday last week. Ruined a pair of pants, tank top and my hip is sort of pussing from the scrapes, but that’s cool, it felt rad and was a fun trick to do once I got it....plus it was right on a lake packed with babes....what more could you want right be-mag?

Blade got sort of owned...okay so alot owned

Thanks for dealing with my semi boring story with pictures and lame captions about a trick I did last weekend. I haven’t done picture posts in ages but I figured id show you guys cause I was pumped on the trick and wanted you to see.
<3 you be-mag!!

All photos were shot by my good friend EMILL, he used to live around here but now resides in Texas. He is back visiting for the summer and we have skated a ton!

I think that is a testament to your technique as well as the durability of the wheel ;)

No my friend Austin Paz 58's at all times! I say go with big wheels or whats the point of riding flat. Its Tom Cruise all over town when you have that much to move with! I say just get yourself some elements and join the darkside....then again, i love a bit of extra weight. Makes my landings feel way more solid and laced!

yeh loved the speed but didnt have the skill :P riding D-George suspensions atm and loving them. like abit of a heavier frame and a lighter boot cos it feels more solid and balanced, plus lifting the extra weight can only get you more hops lol

:(

I agree with big wheels for flat, but I didn't really like my Elements. I wish Fiziks could fit bigger wheels. :(

14.07.2010, 22:03
Yeah I am pretty sure that a large sized wheel flat on element frame is what I will be using for as long as the frame is in production. Defintely is the best set up for me personally! and thanks for enjoying the story if the whole "seriously" part was SRS....i couldnt tell!

That photo is very gnar, fucking sick.

And rating the setup highly. I am possibly about to get my hands on some cheap slimlines and elements. I'll pretty much be running the same set up except ninja black. Just need new soul plates. A bit scared about riding flat. Haven't done it since my fifth elements!

On a side note what liners are you using?

brett dasovic
14.07.2010, 22:18
If you just work on adjusting your stance a bit with the elements you wont have any issues. Sit a bit more on things, cant stand STRAIGHT up anymore...but that doesnt always look cool anyways. So get some crouch to your grinds, add a little waiters arm and shit your good to go hahaha.

I skate the liners that come in the FISH UFS thrones!

Haha, nice write-up Brett. Except you forgot to tell everyone that all those chicks didn't stop to watch you, only the old men would. Haha. And be on the lookout for the clip, the way Brett came of this piece was the best part!

Yeah i was definately expecting that approach to have to take place
I was after the o'neill liners except i managed to get a free pair of unused Killa Bee liners so i guess they'll have to do

When i get this set up i'll do a similar picture post. Probably on a much smaller ledge but an attempt none the less!
